I have a 2015, Wake Surf Mojo, upgraded 1,100 bags in the rear and stock bow ballast.
I typically max out the ballast, deploy flow surf and set cruise at 10.9. Surf wave is good. However, any advice to improve would be most appreciated.
Thanks.

I forgot to mention the trim tab is set about 45%.

Interested in this as well. I have a 15' mojo with the same setup only autoflow is at 60%.

I wasn't aware the surf package, auto flow could be adjusted. The port and starboard settings are preprogrammed. Thoughts?

Maybe I mis spoke. Not sure. But I am able to adjust percentage of surf tabs

Yes, your tabs are adjustable if you into the settings. I believe on the Moomba the adjustment only works 1 direction, meaning you will increase by 5% until you get to 100%, then it starts over at 0%.

I'm going to ask the local dealer where I ordered/purchased our boat how to adjust the wake surf plates. When I flip the switch to either port or starboard the percentage on the guage reflects 80%. I assumed this was a factory settings.

On your menu go to the settings, in there will be a flow settings option. Waiting for KG to chime in, in know we adjusted his a few weeks back. He can likely tell you exactly where the adjustment is

I believe it is settings->vessel settings
In there you will have the option to configure your ballast drain/fill times, and plate settings

I really appreciate the advice on the surf tab and bag fill time settings. I am going to experiment with both this weekend.
Any advice on the surf tab settings with 1,100 bags in the rear and surf Edition bow ballast? Also, any advice on the fill times for the 1,100 bags and bow ballast? Neither are currently set right.
Thanks again!!!

As far as timers, the average fill time is about 100 pounds per minute. I would set the timers based around that, then adjust accordingly after a few fills/empties.

I'm still not pleased with our 2015 Mojo surf wake. We upgraded the rear bags to 1,100 lbs. I've tried multiple ballast, trim tab and auto surf settings. I've also moved folks around the boat.
What does it take to produce a superior surf wake that has both push and length, like the marketing videos?
Please note that I am very pleased with our boat - fit & finish, motor, transmission, gel coat, styling, performance, stereo, etc. However, I'd like to improve the surf wake, without changing boats.
Thoughts?

Paul have you verified your speed? Use a GPS speed app on an iphone for example and compare it to the reading set on your boat. Mine was off by 2+MPH because my "paddle wheel offset" had been messed with before I took ownership of my boat. Going 2 mph faster or slower than you think you are can have significant impact on surf wake quality. There's a setting for adjusting that too in the menu. Your owner's manual should explain how to set the trim tab settings, fill/drain timers, as well as paddle wheel offset.

I think it takes tons of weight! When my family and I go out it is my wife and I plus two kids under 4. The wave is very underwhelming. If we get a bigger crew it gets better, but still doesn't look like the marketing videos.

Same issue here. I have a 15 mojo. I upgraded rear bags as well. Wave is ok, but nothing like it should be in my opinion

Just as a reference. My craz takes 4200 lbs. Plus a 4 man crew to make me happy, and I've got a foot less running surface than the mojo.

Good idea on verifying the speed. I downloaded the app and will verify this weekend.
I've read posts about installing extra bags under the seats on each side of the boat. Perhaps an Enzo fat sac would achieve the same outcome? I had Enzo sacs in my 06 24v Tige as that boat needed tons of weight, however the surf wave was very good. With the after market surf gates, the 24v surf wake should be pretty sweet.

One thing you never hear about (or see) is in the manufacturer pictures/videos I bet they are running with steel/lead ballast also. I'll never forget being at the PWT and watching them load down those boats with extra weight. Also if you look at pictures, do you think they put the extra people in the boat just because it looks cool? I took this in May https://www.dropbox.com/s/y1der930kr8wi86/Photo%20May%2007%2C%202%2007%2041%20PM.jpg?dl=1

Here is some footage of me trying to surf on our 2016 Mojo. I really suck and am open to pointers haha. Just learned how to get up on a wakeboard and wakesurf board about 3 weeks ago, so I'm still learning how to control the board. I have a hard time finding the sweet spot and staying on it so I can throw the rope back.
Personally while I'm on the wave it looks pretty big to me, but like I said... I'm new and don't really know better haha. This is full stock ballast with 4 adults on the boat while I'm out on the line. Do we need more weight to get a better sweet spot or what?

I have a '15 Mojo with auto flow1.0. I too was underwhelmed by the surf wave, even after upgrading to 1100s in the lockers. However, once I added additional bags under rear seats, it was a whole new world.
I basically plumbed in my stock 650 bags under the seats and I fill those as much as the space will allow. Here's what worked for me on regular (port) side:
-Fill center tank and IBS 100%
-Fill port side 1100 and under seat (as much as space allows)
-Fill starboard side about 75% of the port side
-Auto surf at 90%
-Wake plate all the way up
10.3-10.7 mph (verified by GPS)
I can surf a ways back and there's great push, even with just wife and 2 little ones. I think the bottom line is that you need to slam that thing. Downside, is storage, which is why I'm looking at nets and trays as described elsewhere on the forum.

What is ur setup to get to 4200 lbs?
500 ibs, 700 in floor, 1100's in the rear, 250 under bow filler, 600 in front of rear seat. Next season I'll be using lead or steel under the side seats in place of the 600 on the floor.

How do you fill the stock 650 bags under the seats? We surf goofy. I assume the opposite would also work?

2016 surf edition with 1,100 rear bags. Here are my settings.
Goofy= surf side full, non surf 80 percent. Center 55% to 60%. Surf tab at 90. Wake plate up all the way. Cruise says 11.5 but gps says 10.6. Need to adjust next time I have a few minutes but really do not care.
Regular- same bag setup but opposite. Surf tab at 85.
Wave is really good. More weight and proper distribution would be better. G23 has one of the best waves out there. Go look at the dry boat weight. Helps make sense that more properly distributed weight means better wave.

I tapped into the fill/drain line on the 1100s. Just adds time to you fill/drain time. Here's some info from others:

Haven't surfed the goofy side yet because I just plumbed it in the other day. Per others, does help.

I am as well having the same problems as most of you.
I am completely frustrated I just recently bought 2 540 pound fat sacs and the pump it is an ugly mess on the boat
I was thinking about adding 1100 pound on the left side because I surf Goofy.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to clean this up and get a wake that I could surf more than 8 Seconds.

Wave looks good to me. As far as pointers, far from an expert (there are some of those on this forum tho), but heres what has worked for us trying to teach newbies. Front foot needs to be much closer toward the wake and it looks like you have way too much pressure on your back foot. For beginners, I tell em to try to touch the wake with back hand to get the board pointed in the right direction. When trying to speed up, don't push down with front foot, but more slide both thighs toward the front of the board. Heres a couple pics of my son to see foot placement.....he was where you were at two years ago. Hope it helps. Good luck.

We used this suggested set up. The goofy wave was much improved, especially for my lightweight daughter.
I'm thinking about ordering custom bags to add weight under the seats vs connecting bags to our 1,100s.
I appreciate all the advice.

My preferred setup is similar. Our only differences ....
I'm closer to 50-60% ballast non surfside. On regular, port, flow plate i run at 60-65%.

I have a 15 Mojo Surf edition
650 factory internal-full
750 IBS-full
Port locker 1,100-full
Starboard locker 1,100-full
400 port floor
600 port seat
400 bow floor
Set port autoflow 1st gen to 85% and 3/4 trim plate. All of this combined makes for a huge wave with a ton of push. I have attached a link to video my mother took this weekend while on my boat. The goofy side os an even better wave and does not require the extra 400 on floor.
I am 6'2" 255 pounds and my board is ronix technora thruster 5'7" for wave size reference.
