My cove skim board has seen better days, I didn't fix a large ding last year and its been taking on water since.

Thought I'd try this new guy, not as light as my cove but supposedly rides easier reverse.

Great skimmer. You will love it. All P5 boards are a little heavy but they are bullet prof vs the custom surfers.

I have to admit I was skeptical of the phase 5 boards, only ridden one and they seemed very heavy/large in the stores.

This board however is pretty awesome, lots of buoyancy(this is probably due to my cove having water), fast and maneuverable. Having the square nose increases the surface area making it harder to pearl, easier starts and lots of push. Riding the board reverse was a huge improvement in control from other boards. Had no issues with 360s, 180s, all done with ease. Pretty happy camper...

I'm a big boy and ride the Danielo one. It's the only board I've ever landed a 360 on. I'd love to try out the hammerhead some time. Would probably work even better.

I got to spend a good bit of time this week on a Hammerhead behind a non SC boat. Great board and anyone who jumped on it liked it.

What size did you go with? I'm 6'1 and around 185. According to the website, the 53" is what I should be looking at. I'm looking very seriously at this board for next year. Gonna have to save up some scratch, this board is not cheap, but seems to be what I'm looking for.

I have the 53, that's probably a good fit for you. I think i should've gone with the 50, I'm only 160lbs..
