Looks like I'm going to have to replace my muffler. Was out on lake this weekend and noticed water bubbling through the muffler.

Anyone been down this road before? Any suggestions? Replace with factory unit or is there something better? Anyone have any idea on cost?

Where was it coming through the muffler? And approx how many hours you got on it?

Near where the starboard exhaust comes down but not in line with it more toward the middle and on the transome side.

Not sure on exact hours. Around 200.

I would check with the original manufacturer. I believe there is a sticker on the muffler. Should be around 250 to 300 ish if you do it yourself.

Tried calling the number on the sticker 865 856-9662 ultra marine products and the number is disconnected.

Next stop the dealer.

Dealer is quoting me $618 for just the muffler. Seems steep.

Way to much! Same muffler online is under 300. Measure your existing muffler and check Amazon and eBay.

Why not repair it with fiberglass cloth and some resin?

Why not repair it with fiberglass cloth and some resin?

Mostly my OCD.

I was considering having the dealer save the old one and give it back to me for repair.

Now if I only knew someone with glassing experience/skill.....
