so i was changing my prop yesterday after tweeking it slightly during our canada day festivities and noticed that there was water draining from the drive shaft under the boat i though i remembered a thred once that stated this was normal but i couldn't find it in a search. has anyone noticed this before?

That is the water draining from the dripless shaft seal. You have a hose that feed water to it for lubrication.

But it should only be dripping water when pressurized (motor running). Was it just residual left over or was it actually dripping at a regular rate?
You weren't changing the prop with the motor running, I hope....

We pulled it out and up about 60 feet from the dock to change it and it ran out of there for a bout 20-30 seconds
