I have a '13 LSV with an IBS and the center tank is leaking. Has anyone replaced the tank with bags? Maybe cut the end of the center ballast tank and slide a bag in the opening? Any ideas?

Mine is leaking in my 14' lsv. Just running the ibs separately for this year till I figure out what I wanna do with the cracked tank. Don't think you can slide a bag in because of the center supports built into the tank. But that would be a great idea...

How do you bypass the center tank?

I ran a new hose from outlet on the pump for the center tank to the ibs. Left the hose from the center tank sit unhooked. I think once I fix my center tank I wanna run my ibs seperately to be safe anyways.

There's a guy on here that replaced his center tank and had a pic of it. It was solid and there were no supports in the tank. I seriously thinking about the bag. Thanks for the help with the ibs. Haven't thought about running a hose.

I am the guy that replaced my tank. You will have to remove your fuel tank to get the tank partially out. You will have to either cut it up or pull the v-drive to get it all the way out. The tank itself has center supports, so you cannot slide a bag into the tank. Remove the tank and there is plenty of room for a bag if you wish.

Fuel tank is out. Ballast tank is out also. Searching for a bag to replace it

Did you price out the tank?

And did you have to do like jstenger and cut the fibreglass and remove v drive?

Had to cut the lip so that the tank would slide out. I wasn't happy with the design of the tank so I decided to cut the end off and slide it out without having to remove the V-drive. I checked the tank but wasn't able to find where it was leaking. Just ordered a bag from Wakemakers that will fit.

I think I might do the same. That way you can make it suck flat. Is there much for sharp edges or screws in there that could puncture the bag?

Only one screw and it is to long. It's the screw that hold the piece of flooring to the left of the steering wheel, no big deal. I thing I had to cut 1 1/4 off of the lip, again no big deal. Just ordered the new bag and I'm gonna "Y" off of the center pump and fill the IBS and the new bag at the same time. I think it will help to pull the water out. It will be a little tricky figuring out the pump timer but at least it won't be leaking.

I was thinking about running another pump for the ibs and "y" the inlet off one of the the thru hulls for the other balast pumps... Wonder if that would create to much suction and starve the pumps? I just don't wanna drill another thru hull in the floor of the boat

Bag was just delivered and the hull is clean. Getting ready to put it back together.

I have them not that the gas tank and the ballast tank are out. Wasn't expecting to do the job one afternoon and a little while later the center ballast was out. So I will take pics from this point forward.

I wonder if SC should recall this issue. Seems to be popping up on a few boats. Mine has water in bilge some days and I question if mine is hairline cracked. Not gonna be happy if I need to pull it out like others have done.
