I have seen lots of posts recently for the surf setting for the craz and mojo but was wondering if some people can post their best surf set settings (auto flow, wake plate, ballasts) for the mondo.

Thanks
Kevin

I have not been able to make that setup work for me... The best wave to date (non-goofy) is full on the left side, full to 3/4 full in the middle, and 1/2 full on the right. I find the more I can get the boat to lean, the better the push and higher the wave. When I go all full, the boat tends to plow through the water, and I do not get the lean on the left side that is needed to create the bigger wave. I think (my theory) this is what autowake does as well. It gets the proper lean (roll) and pitch so that you can set it and forget it.

I also have my surf settings at 65% on the opposite side (for surf). When I have more time, I would like to play with that a little bit as I am not convinced 65% is the right number. I just copied what everyone else was doing. As a quick side note, the number of people you have, and where they are sitting is also important. I have had the bow full of kids, and had some of the worst waves (almost in-surfable). When I had them move to the back left side, I had a massive wave. So, if you don't have autowake, you will have to pay attention to the details such as these. This is just my opinion, but I think you have to lean the boat to get a good wave.

Good luck....

I have 900 rear bags, the center tank and 750 IBS. I have manual flow but can get a good wave with just my wife in the boat driving. But add more people and it gets better. I lean it a little to surf side. Speed is very important also. Usually 10.4 regular side and 11.4 goofy side. Then use the wake plate to fine tune. Best thing we did was spend almost a full day just trying different settings.
