I wish that I could say I went wireless but at least my 10 yr old daughter did it yesterday. She has probably only been up 5-6 times but she did it and was thrilled. I think she is hooked now. As for me I think I need a bigger board. We just have a hyper lite broadcast and I am around 230 lbs.

2014 mondo. 750s in back, hard tank and additional 650 ibs, 400s (2) in L shape on surf side in back of boat. With ghetto gate, we didn't use manual flow.

It started by reading the suck gate post. I wanted to try this out but we could not easily locate the suction cups while we were up north in MN for the week at the cabin. So my brother in law decided to make a ghetto gate quickly and we gave it a try. Without much modification it made a big difference. I don't have before and after pics but here is the pic afterwards.

Here is the ghetto gate. Couple questions for those that have already built them.

1. Should the outside panel be vertical or lean slightly away from or towards the boat.

2. Should it be in line with the hull or slightly set back?

3. Has anyone used manual flow with ghetto gate.

Thanks all. This forum is such a great place to learn and everyone is so helpful.

nice ghetto gate, mine looks very similar but more of an angle outwards instead of straight

I dont think any of those points matter much because you are just creating a disturbance in the wash. I have seen so many different designs and they all do the same thing.
