Manual states something about using a fuel additive if your boat sits idle for a week or more. Does anyone use this stuff?

Hey Matman, if you need this stuff you arent using your boat enough... you need to get your priorities straight...lol

Just kiddin, you should be able to get fuel stabilizer just about anywhere that sells automotive stuff ie. oil, injector cleaners, etc..

I was told never use anything less than mid grade (so 89) It could have caused some build up. From reading the board ive also seen that it isnt abnormal to get water or condensation in the gas. I would use the stabilizer and see if this fixes the problem but also top it up with high grade fuel too this will have a cleaning effect that hopefully would solve your problem.

If you think you may have moisture in the fuel add a can of HEET.
