Welcome to the club. How many hours? On any new to me boat I tend to go through everything maintenance wise to have a trouble free experience with peace of mind. Check the water pump impeller, oils, filters, and plugs for starters and replace if required. Check the dripless shaft seal and make sure it is in working order. Make sure the engine and transmission are aligned correctly and check driveshaft run out. Then inspect the trailer as they are sometimes over looked. This includes tires, brakes, bearings and wiring. Provided this is all in order and there arent any issues, take it to the water and enjoy your summer!

Hours 628, went through just about everything motor wise all checks out. Have had one day on the water with it so far and had a blast with it! Saturday we will be back in it! Plenty of pictures to come and I'm sure tons of questions! I'm already on the search for a Bimini Top, any reccomendations? Thanks

JasonO - Where are you using the boat? Small lake? Big lake? River? Does it have a tower? Ballast system? Cabin heater? Any kids? Adults only? Post pics and share some more information. Guys here on the forum can give you lots of helpful advice. - Deerfield

As far as a bimini, great lakes skipper has some New old stock items and they have an ebay store also. Or you could head over to iboats and get yourself a sharkskin plus from westland, I bought one of those for my last boat, a malibu and by following their spec sheet, was a direct fit factory replacement at a third the cost of anywhere else. Hope this helps
