whats the best way to put the fuel gauge back into the dash of my xlv. it looks like it was held in with a mall amount of glue before . what type of glue would you guys recommend, ive never had luck with any type of super glue or gorilla glue

I have an xlv and had the same thing happen. what I found happened was that the dash opening cracked on either side of the hole cutout. so the best solution was to build up the hole with liquid steel putty. it allowed me to fix the dash so that it wasn't cracked and flexing anymore which is what allowed the gauge to pull out in the first place. After I did that, I haven't had any more problems. you can also use the putty to make the hole a smidge smaller so it's a tighter fit.
