I used to have a 2004 Moomba Mobius and was very happy with it.

I have been out of the game for awhile, but I now want to buy an exclusive Surf only boat. I am confused by the Moomba website marketing that basically says they all surf well. I am also leary of the surf gate or whatever Moomba has now for surfing.

So my question is, which of the Moomba's has the best surf wave right now? I'd guess the Mondo? Me and everyone in my family only surfs the regular side also if that helps.

And how does the wave compare to say, a Centurion Enzo? (I know that's apples and oranges)

Your thoughts appreciated!

They all surf well. I demo'd the Craz, and it was fantastic. Are you looking to buy new or used?

I'm just now starting to look, not in any hurry, but I'm open to new or used. Just had this basic question so I thought that I would start here. Is the Craz better than the Mojo? I said "Mondo" in my first post, but I meant "Mojo". I would assume the Mojo had the best surf wave because it's the biggest and heaviest, would I be wrong?

And, boy, that Helix is not a pretty boat, so I hope it's not that one :)

The biggest boat doesn't always mean it had the best wave. Lots of people think the Nautique G23 has a much better wave than the G25. Less surface area allows the boat to poke a deeper hole in the water causing a more dramatic incline in flow (steeper wave). I have the Craz and I thought the wake was better "looking" than the Mojo. I'm not very seasoned surfer so I wouldn't know how well it rides. :)

Well that certainly makes sense. So I understand that the Craz is the same hull but shorter than the Mojo, is that correct?

Have any of you ever compared surf waves (ridden preferably) these Moombas with other brands? How did they compare? I'm not dreaming of getting a G23 surf wave at a Moomba price, but is it at least in the same ball park?

Weighted properly, the Mojo will provide the best wave in the Moomba line and it will be comparable to other boats on the market, but at a sharper price point.

This is the answer to the question, thank you. Does everyone pretty much agree with this? I'm sure Craz owners have something to say about it

IMO, 23' is the optimal size for a surf boat. This is backed by the fact that most manufacturer's market their 23' boat as their "premier" surf boat.

The young lady surfing in the Craz video is my daughter. She is a decent rider and while she thought the Craz had a very good wave, she preferred the Mojo.

Decent rider??????

I must be a gawd awful rider if she's just decent haha

OP: Can't say that I've surfed a Mojo or Craz but I've dialed my Mondo wave in pretty damn well & it's great! Either boat you get I would highly suggest upgrading the stock backs. I put 900s in the rear, 250 underreport seat & a 750 under the bow. I'm near 3k ballast and she surfs great for a 20' boat. Very tall and clean lip. Not as long as other boats but it's also 3' shorter. I guess it all depends on your money. If you can afford a mojo I would get a mojo. If you can only afford a mondo then get the mondo.

On our 15 mojo I had 1100 lockers, ibs 600ish, hard tank which is 700 and another 520 lbs in pop, spread around boat to offset batteries etc plus a 325 sumo under bow filler. Awesome wave. I ran full all the time when surfing what I was trying to do was get close to a loaded weight on a g23 and I was close. The mojo was 4100 dry plus around 4145 in ballast which loaded was 8245lbs no crew or gear. A G23 IS 8300LBS loaded. The wave was great. At the Atlanta boat show my wife and mother decided they wanted to trade for a 16 mojo with the S bend tower for height clearance (IMHO the s bend is the only way to go it doesnt narrow towards the top and speakers are above your head), and the convertible seat and back rest. I didn't wanna really trade meant I had to start over with upgrades on new boat. We didn't order a boat at show only committed to so a couple weeks later I talked with Heidi about 15 supras they has left and was able to convince the ladies this is what we needed hehe....the water demo sold them! All I can say is the wave awesome on the supra and I haven't even began to play with the swell settings. The mojo is the best bang for your buck there is hands down....auto flow was great and I m sure auto flow 2.0 is even better. I wouldn't have had any qalms about it with sbend and new seats which make them very similar to supras. I think any boat in the line up will surf as that's the new thing to do and it is what is selling boats. I'm must agree with Drew... mojo will be the best in the line up. Our new supra is the SG the 23ft supra fyi. 23ft.....
