I've read it before somewhere but just confirming this is what I want to raise my driver seat? Also I heard one person cut it 3". Anyone know if that's necessary? Also anyone know if it's cheaper anywhere else?

Correct but use Amazon as it's much cheaper there. I just did this mod on mine and love it.

Ok I was reading another post that they ordered the 12" but it was to talk so they cut off 3".

Anyone know what stock height is?

I want to say that 9 inches is stock! I'm almost sure it is. Your head will be above the windshield.

Brett you need to cut off some material, i went 3". At 12" it is way high for the wheel and getting your legs under the dash. The original is 7" tall, the extra 2" makes a world of difference. i changed mine after the 2nd time out felt like i was sitting on a 5 gallon bucket and I'm 6'6". My wife had to basically stand when driving to see anything.

Since we are on it, is there something I am missing pulling the seat of the pedestal? I can't seem to remove mine.

Just installed the 12 last week, that's a legit upgrade. Just unscrew it and pulls right out.

So much more comfortable now. No bolster needed and I'm at the perfect height to rest the throttle arm on the windshield lol

I'm very confused on what size I need. Some say the 12" and then 9". Lol I'm 6' 3" wife is like 5' 5".

I've got your solution. Buy both, decide which one you like better, and then send me the other one. I'll PM you my address.

As you said earlier, just buy the 12" and cut it down if needed...Maybe you want 10 or 11.

I think the confusion is that only 12" 0r 24" is available not a 9". On the Mondo at least from my perspective 12"(stock) was just too high on the Mondo, sit way above the windshield and basically driving with the wheel between your legs. It is personal preference get it install it take a seat, if it is too tall hack it off.

They have a 9" so I'm just debating getting that so I don't make some awkward crooked cut hahahttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160513/c54cb2441f97cd12cce49f395997f4d6.jpg

So I installed my 9" riser. All I can say is my wife is going to love it! It's the perfect height...12" your knee will be in the wheel.

Off to powder coat!

Seems like this is a legit mod. I still didn't get answer to removing the SEAT, not the pedestal. I see the pedestal unscrews from the floor but how does the seat come off it. I wanted to remove it when doing some wiring and had no luck. I unscrewed the handle that lets the seat swivel, but it didn't seem to work. Maybe I need to try again.

Get some pics soon Brett!

The seat just slips over the post. It is a snug fit, but it lifts straight up. Just make sure your swivel is loose.

Mine was pretty hard to get off also after loosening the collar. I kept thinking I was missing something but just pulled up as hard as I could and it finally slipped off. Not sure what it was that was catching.

I left mine at 12". Might be too high for some but it positions me perfectly above the windshield. I don't really notice my knees hitting the wheel.

Thanks, I looked at it and thought I had to be missing something. Guess I will try again and give a little more oomph lol

Had my brother snap a few pics before putting her to bed. He used the go pro and the angle is weird. You can't see the piece attached to the seat unless you really try.

This is the 9" riser BTW. Perfect Height!!!!

Heading to our storage building to do this mod tonight. Does anyone know what type of screw/bolt attaches the pedestal (Phillips, Allen, Torx, etc)?

Thanks Brett! I'll make sure to snap some pics of the before/after since that's what everyone seems to ask about. It won't look as fancy as you nice blue one, but it will get the job done.

One of the best mods, especially for the money. They should have come from the factory this way! My wife (5'3") now finally feels comfortable driving while I surf. Here are some before/after pics; I went with the 9" and would agree that the 12" version would have put my knees into the steering wheel (with the riser up). The best description I can give, is now the cushion (with the riser down) is the same height as all the other cushions.

Looks good! My buddy still complains about being able to see when he's pulling me surfing. I just think he's a little b!t#h though.

Same here, I did the 12" and we love it. I am 5'10 and almost always drive with bolster down now (comfortable) and the wife LOVES being able to see with the bolster up. There is NO way the 9" would have worked for us.

I'm 6'2" so maybe that's the difference. I'm just happy it was a quick/easy fix with several options for everyone. No more feeling like you're sitting on the floor.

How do you get it from sliding down? I raise mine up and tighten down t handle and my 230# ass goes right back down and bottoms out.

I can believe you have a different base in a 2013, but you may. Our seats set flush against the top of the riser post. There is no moving it up or down. Tightening the t-handle only controls rotation. I guess you could loosen and raise the seat an inch or so and try tightening in that spot, but it's not designed to hold and will probably break something.

I know this thread is a little old but I just did this on my 2016 Mojo. I think that depending on what boat you have will determine what size riser you have to start with. My Mojo had a 9" from the factory. I changed mine to a 12". From the comments on this thread it sounds like the Mondo comes with a 7" riser? If you are thinking about doing this mod you may want to double check what you have in your boat already. It is one of the easiest mods I have done to the boat!

My riser is loose so my seat wiggles. Do i just take out the 5 or 6 phillips screws on the pedostal? Is there a way to tighten the riser tube?

The seat will slide off the tube. Then you just take out those screws and the riser comes out. If I remember right the riser is welded to the base that screws in the floor.

Lol, I just found this out today. I ordered the 9" riser, based on others comments without double checking. Took it out to the boat to install today and found I already had the 9" riser in my 17 mojo. Already on a ups truck on its return trip to Amazon and the 12" is on its way to me.
