those of you who have removed the factory stickers and adopted the "naked" look...

how difficult are those big logo stickers to take off?

Any tips/tricks?

thanks Joe. I was thinking heat gun, but wondered if that was a bad thing.

Did the big hull logo sticker come off in one piece, or thousands?

I only replaced the small ones, but if its one vinyl piece it shout come off in large pieces.

be careful of the fL sun and fading, you may have to rebuff all the gel coat

When I removed the ones on my 08 in 10 the came off in pieces but not real difficult.

You will learn the right amount of heat over time and it goes quickly.

Not enough heat it's hard to remove, too much heat it gets brittle.

I'm sure I'll make it to FL since I'll be just north a bit.

I used a Karcher pressure washer at 60°C once the heat had softened them they just peeled straight off however a heat gun works just as well you just need to get the corners started.

I second the heat gun and goo gone for just a standard decal. I just removed the chrome 3d letters and those are a bit more of a pain, the foam backing stays with the boat, I used a plastic scraper and in some places a regular razor blade carefully. I did have some oxidation/ghosting which was removed with a couple rounds with the buffer and meguirs no. 49 oxidation remover.239552395623957

I have a dealer name sticker/emblem on transom. I really would like to remove it but have been scared of damage to gel coat. Sounds like this method should work on this also. Thanks!

I just read on another post that somebody used braided fishing line. It was the guy with the black/blue mojo for sale in classifieds, somebody asked him how he removed his.

Thanks for all the tips!

Stickers are all off. Used the heat gun as suggested.

Definitely a lot of ghosting - the hull is gray and it looks like I have black stickers on it.

Boat was parked east to west on a hot sunny day.

Starboard side was in the shade and it took about 2 hours to get off the stickers.

Port side was in sun for about 4 hours and all the stickers zipped right off.
