Hey guys I was able to get my backrest done. I don't have it mounted in the boat yet but I have some pictures. I will gladly build these for other members. Your dealer supplies the rest portion this is just the bracket and hardware. There are two options:
Polished Stainless $275
Raw Steel $200
All of them come with the correct stainless fasteners and backing plates.
I don't have caps on in the picture because they haven't arrived yet. Hopefully I'll have in boat pictures by the weekend. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160504/954539138c7ad8c68665b433a54aa348.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160504/08ac230a0160c681aaefa342d3575584.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160504/2ea7ca6ce5ebe5fdb74b5f9f8c572d3b.jpg

Nice bro, I'll be placing an order with you on it.
I'll take a raw steel.

I'd order one too if I could convince my dealer that the seat back does not cost $1500. Might have to source the part from another dealer.

Great Work, Mark! Love to see the rest of the hardware and the clearance with the seat swivel once the back rest is fully mounted.
It appears we have the same interior color combo.

You might look into calling AWS <active water sports> Ask for Jeremy, tell him I referred you, the seat is about 120 through them.
You need your boat hull # so he can make sure the upholstery is the correct patterns.

OK got mine all mounted. With the seat all the way forward there is 6" between the driver seat and the backrest. Slid all the way back they will hit. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160509/e34613d68cbd717d8b970c691f559eca.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160509/a9ddc52d8c4d002e759883b1542e5db3.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160509/44d5539020b83f2e84777283394d2615.jpg

Think they can match the upholstery back to 2013?

Thanks! FYI for the guys that want to save room they can be made straight. It will take some comfort out of the seat but it will still be nice.

How much weight do you think can be applied to this? I imagine people using it to lean on to get up.

It's solid probably stronger than factory because there aren't any joints.

My only concern is someone leaning on it to hard and cracking the fiberglass.

I'd be really surprised if that would happen. It is really solid with me leaning on it. I didn't get to see if the new ones are bolted through or how the backing is on it.

Mark - This looks fantastic and it seems to add a whole new dimension to our Moombas. My wife and kids never sit on the starboard side of our LSV because they always sit backwards against the passenger backrest or in the bow because of the comfort of the backrest. Nobody seems to enjoy sitting along the gunwales unless we're on our evening cocktail cruise and we have 10+ folks in the boat ..... So this looks like a great new addition particularly when we ski and I need even weight across the boat.
I'd love to buy one of these in the polished steel (and source the seat to match the upholstery on my '14 LSV). Should I PM you for details?

I have the bracket and mounting hardware I got from Mark I didn't use, still in his original shipping, I'll sell it to you pretty cheap.
Mark knows I have this and have his ok to sell it on the site, so I'm not stepping on his toes.
Pm me.

I was just going to say that Mike has one he didn't install. No toes stepped on here Mike!
On another note I love this mod. It has opened that seat up for two people while cruising, and it keeps people from leaning on my seat while boarding. Worth every penny in my book.
