You will definitely encounter barge traffic. I'm on a boat pushing barges right now and Peoria yesterday was a mess. I'm amazed that these people with huge cruisers think they shouldn't give way to what we have in front of us. One guy in particular was waiting till the last second to decided if out of the channel was better than ran over. In a bend in the river at that. I guess some people think these barges can be stopped on a dime.

Anyway, I'm off here in a couple days and can't wait to hit the water in the LSV. Everyone have a safe Memorial Day!

First surf session of the season, first time with the SA and first on the happy pill. Highly impressed, had 3 adults and four kids for ballast, didn't fill the bags or even use the surf system. Can wait to load this baby up and ride her...

He couldn't get his boat to start... We saw jumper cables, a gas can, and starter fluid. Idiot. He didn't just start his boat on fire, the entire ramp was on fire bc he lit the gas can on fire and threw it into the water.

What a great weekend! It's been 13 years since we have been out on a holiday weekend and surprised how down the crowds were at Lake Powell. Really enjoying the Craz and impressed each time out. Did end up having 2 people come look at the boat since it's got a "for sale" sticker on it and scheduled a demo here back home for a family. If you haven't been you need to get down to Page, AZ and visit Antelope Point Marina.

Mt Hood in the background. Very clear day thanks to the wind. Water was a bit nippy at 58ish. Boards didn't even touch the water.

"SHOULDA GOT A BIGGER ANCHOR" This didn't just ruin their day, upon closer inspection someone is living on it. You see a lot of these closer to downtown Portland on the Willamette but not so much up on the Columbia. Maybe this little experience will change their mind about "big river" living.

Went out on Friday night for the Rose Festival opening fireworks in Portland. Air temps in the mid 50's but really clear. the rain ended just in time. We had front row seats anchored as close to the barge as they'd let us. View of downtown Portland was on point.

Sunday started off really ROCKY. we put in at Lacamas Lake and while they did have a few of the "rock" buoys out, they didn't have the channel marked. We were idling through just barely bumping the throttle and depth went from 5' to 8" instantly for a huge rock shelf that was at least 30 to 40 feet INSIDE the warning marker for the rocks. The bow slid up on the shelf just barely and put some scratches on the gelcoat of the keel in two spots. Honestly, there's like no real damage which is amazing. we were able to put everyone in the back corner of the boat and back off it and were able to navigate to safety. I'll be putting in a call to the Marine Patrol to see if they can get the channel markers they had last year back up. It's just stupid to not have them, as I wasn't the only boat that hit rocks that day.

After we got into the main part of the lake, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief and was treated to this sight. I got in my first wakeboard set after the foot injury. No jumping (which is torture) but it felt nice to ride regardless.

We made it back through the real "channel" safely (with a spotter on the bow just in case), but still when there are spots that are reading 4 to 5 feet, that's serious pucker.

Went out for the holiday on Monday. Seriously low crowds for a holiday with decent weather. It was a little brisk with the breeze on Monday, but the wife and I both got in some surf. I am wearing a wakeskate shoe on my bad foot to give it a little support, but things are feeling better and I was able to get some carving in on the board and taking longer sets.

The wife can freeride, but she needed to shake off the cobwebs a little. this was the longest ride she's had this season and the water wasn't that smooth, so she just slacked the rope and cruised. Water is still cold at 58 degrees in the river, so full suit time.

87 degree day in the PNW on Tuesday. Had to hit the water and take advantage of it. Wind was from the North, so when we got to my spot, we got smooth water. No jumping, but it feels good to be back on the wakeboard.

Alright so looks like I'm up and running again on tapatalk, what a pain that was last night! So just wanted to say it's good to be back in the skiers choice family!! We (my wife and I) sold our mojo back in 2014 and have missed the inboard/vdrive since! We bought a cuddy cabin I/O to serve as the interim family boat and just didn't get the watersport enjoyment we wanted. We just sold it and were going to wait until next season to get a new wake boat. I really liked the new Helix and we thought we would order one for next season. Needless to say going looking we found this guy... A new leftover 2015 Supra SC400. Wow is all I can say!! The guys here in Charlotte,NC ,who I bought the mojo from, at Southtown Watersports have always treated me like first class and gave me amazing deals. Danny Tolentino is one of the originators of Southtown and is awesome! My salesman Jeremy is a great guy also, we actually went to the same high school. Anyway, these guys are great and I have to say I am beyond amazed at this boat they gave me an awesome deal! They took care of me on my mojo as well so I had to give a huge shout out! To anyone looking around here see these guys! So onto the boat... Just wow!! We loved our mojo but sold it because my kids were too small to enjoy it and very time consuming. Now they are 2 and 4 and love the lake!! Here are some pics of the boat and our fun the other day. My other little one was very unsure of the idea of surfing! This is just stock surf swell setting at 80/50/80 ballast at 11mph. There was a good bit of chop today with a lot of boat traffic. I'm 6'4" so the wave looks small.
