What's up guys, so finally took my boat out that unjust got for the first a lot of fun! The shaft seal replacement worked like a champ almost too good because there is no drip... I think I need to loosen a little right? Anyways I found a different area that needs some attention. On the front of the engin there are two hoses going into this circle piece that goes back where the belts are. It is leaking a pretty substantial amount of water, is there a seal in there than can be change or has anyone dealt with this?23847

That looks like your water pump. Where is it leaking from? One hose is raw water in, the other is out and feeds the oil cooler, engine, etc.

It's not leaking from the hoses, but from back behind, there is a small opening aft of the water pump casing and he water is coming from there.

That sounds like a bigger issue. There would be a seal back there, I would think, but I have never had one apart to that extent to know what to look for. I would open it up and remove the impeller and then see what you see.

That's what I was thinking I was looking into the replacement pieces and whatnot would look like and found the Johnson impeller and seal replacement kit, would this work for the indmar water pump?

Water pump shaft/bearing seal has failed. Need a new water pump. Sorry.

Here is a link to an explanation on the weep hole purpose and what is indication of a bad seal.

You can replace the seal in the back... I just did mine last week. It's not all that hard.

I have an 07 mobius lsv.

I found the seal on amazon for $10. It was worth a try for me.

I can get you the part number if your boat is similar.
