Hey guys just picked up a new to me boat lift. I know you go off the bunk settings on the trailer but it's hard to gauge exactly the height and width I should go. Anyone with a lsv know what setup works well on their lift?

Make sure the bunks are high enough to clear the fins
Mine are 12 to 14 inches over cross bar

Also I narrow the front bunks slightly , to keep boat from pulling through and damaging shaft and prop 43 inches rear ,38 inches front for my setup

Joe

Is that flex in the cradle cross members there when the boat is off the lift? Might be time to look into new lift?

Nope, it is designed that way. Lift is only a year old.

So I had this same issue this year and I learned the Hard Way. Trial and Error. Bought a 2016 Mondo and a new hoist. The sales guy delivered the hoist and said bunks look about right as I wanted them as far positioned to the bottom of the boat of keep the fins or keel away from the cross member. To my surprise as I attempted that is where all the goodies are, the intake for wake sacs, the speedo and other water intake stuff.. So I though to move the closer. Well I said screw it took boat off the hoist and measured the trailer bunks for little wider so I would be okay but still the worry of the fins. Measurement was top corner to top corner 3'7" or 3'8" seems to be a safe area. So tested to get it off lift last night and seemed fine just get worried about the bow in the bunks. Just remember the boat will float when down as long as there is enough water. I was told 5-7 inches above bunks, i would say 7-8 above bunks to be save. Just work slow walk the boat on and off to try first. Remember any wight sink boat down. I am not trying to find a stiffer bunk option.
