Curious how this will compare to a Mondo and if they're going to keep both. Maybe it's a new entry level boat to slot in below the Mondo? There has been a bit of a void now that the Outback V is gone.

Was told at the the boat show kind of a cross between the LSV and Outback V.

I'd bet that it replaces the Mondo since it's using the Mondo Hull.

I have to ask, if a new 2016 has the color display on dash, why wasn't this offered on the brand new Craz?? Or even on the other mojo/mondo for that matter? I really would have liked to have that on mine, kinda bothers me

My guess is that it will be the an entry level boat with a base price just under $50K. Purely a guess but that is what the market is asking for.

I think it will be priced lower than the Mondo. From the description on a page that I found:

hefty list of standard features for a great day on the water and combines it with unique style at an industry best price

Sounds like price is somewhat of a focus for this model. I'm curious how they achieved it though, it looks like it still has some pretty good features.

I agree. Price point with some good features.
20.5 feet. Raptor motor. Enough ballast for a good surf wake. Kicker audio.
The other things are probably simple on this boat.
Will be interesting to see the base price.

it says raptor motor 400-450 up top, but it lists a 360 as the base motor. guessing that there's now an engine choice below the 400 that is standard on most boats. interesting labeling by indmar to keep the raptor name no matter the engine "output". marketing is earning their pay. will be interesting to watch if people stop equating the raptor motor with the truck since iirc the truck is moving to the twinturbo ecov6 for the next gen and actually getting a bump in hp/tq from that motor.

will be interesting to see 2 similar 20ft boats competing from the same brand in the same "value" segment. Tige has the r20/rzr but the rzr is quite a bit upscale from the r20. I could see 2 20ft if 1 a moomba and 1 a supra but 2 moombas? intrigued to see what sets the mondo apart now.

I think the Helix should have stayed at 20' since it basically replaced the OBV. I also think they should have bumped the Mondo up to 21' just like they bumped the Mojo up. That would have given Moomba four boats at 20, 21, 22 and 23 feet.

A bigger Mondo could still be their plan. Maybe this one just came out before the next generation Mondo.

Joe, the bow does look bigger to me. But it's rated to carry one less person than the Mondo. So I'm not too sure what's going on yet.

Raptor 6.2 is around 360hp. The 400 was torque specs and was alittle misleading.

Tige puts the 6.2 raptor 360 in their R series boats as a base engine instead of the 400. That's one of the big reasons I went with moomba over the tige R series.

Where does the subwoofer go? Looks like it's all glassed in under the helm. I know you can cut holes and put boxes anywhere, but curious what the natural upgrade path is for a sub on this one.

Overall I love the look of it. the bow is huge. I'm still a fan of the playpen bow but it seems like everyone does the walkthrough now a days.

My thoughts exactly on the sub as well Trayson. Wonder what is behind that wall and if they left an open cavity for an enclosure.

This seems a bit deeper than the mojo. Will SC/moomba make this in a 22-23 foot size as well? Similar to nautique with the 210/230 and g21/g23. Or will you have to get the move into the supra line for the big deep boats?

Looks like the dash design is stolen from natique. Not a big fan of the center piece of the dash not being in the center, I understand the idea of a clear line of sight but I've never felt my cluster was blocking my view. The windshield frame yes, dash no. Other than that the interior speaker placement seems odd and I also wonder where you are supposed to put your subwoofer

So how much does everybody really use the bow. I went pickle on my MB for the fact of more space but hardly used it. We don't have huge crews that go out riding so plenty of room for everybody in the cockpit. I can almost count on one hand when I had people riding in the bow full time. I really enjoy the Craz with the traditional bow (looks) but still seems to have a TON of room if I was going to use it. I never use the bow to load/unload people from the dock, heard that might be a popular reason to have the wider nose with non slip material. Just a curious question not trying to start a war/debate.

I would say there is probably 10-20% of the time when someone is NOT in the bow. Typically when we are heading in on cooler nights. My buddies kids grab their food/drinks and head on up there for the whole day. They love the ride and the wind. Other times the women sit up there if they are not boarding and wanting to drink and catch some rays.
