Hey all. I am soon to have my new Craz and I will have to store it at the local storage area, outside, so I am looking around at different options to lock it up. I am leaning to a Trimax TCL75 Wheel Chock Lock and also installing McGard Wheel Locks so they can't take off the wheel and install the spare. Seem like some of the coupler locks can be sawed or pried off within minutes so I don't know if that's the best way to go.
What are some things you all do to keep your boat locked up if its not at home?

Most of the boats I see around here just use a coupler lock. Are you at an un-manned, open-access type storage place, or one with at least some surveillance? All locks can be defeated, they just act as deterrents/obstacles.

Pull the pin for the swing tounge and put a high grade lock thru the top ring. Better that any hitch lock in my opinion

Smartest thing I ever saw in the economical security department was from an ole bass fisherman. He took a hitch ball and sawed the threads off then locked it in the tongue so there was no way to hitch it up without removing it. Kept it right in the center console.

I switched out my actuator when I had my MB. With the right tools it's a 2 min job to get a new one in not hooked up but able to pull away.
I fold the swing away tongue and wrap a bike lock around it so it can't be straightened. Then I put a good lock through the holes in the coupler so it can't be opened, and I keep the swing away pin in the truck. My goal is just to be annoying enough that someone would go for an easier boat.

I do same thing. It would be pretty hard to steal. On a side note, if they steal it you probably do not want it back. Make sure insurance is in force and the value is updated. Used prices are really high these days and so value may need updating.

That is a very good point on the value, we always go stated value and with this boat left it at the value from the buyers order. I think a theif would have an easier time stealing the boat from the slip than on a trailer. Many places to hide a boat on a lake that's 34,000 acres. We have been boating there for over a decade and haven't seen but half of it.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Probably going to do the high grade lock in the swing arm hole. Then make sure my insurance is up to date!
