First, don't hate me, I have kids that love to go tubing. I have two single tubes the adults love as I can get pretty good air.

My question is what's the best multi rider tube you have experience with?

I will be replacing an older HO Formula 3. Everything still holds air, just getting old and warn out. I have used the Costco tube, HO Delta 3 I believe and my local dealer Marine Products recommended the Radar Chase 3.

Thoughts?

Hard to beat a Big Mable or Big Brawler (same thing) http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Gladiator-Big-Brawler-2-Person-Towable-Tube-With-Lightning-Valve&i=763087

Very stable and the kids love it.

They also make a Super Mable which is a bigger 3 person tube http://www.amazon.com/SPORTSSTUFF-53-2223-Super-Mable-Towable/dp/B000EMVK5S

I like Costco tubes as you can return it if you aren't satisfied which always seems to be at the end of the season.

Funny, is that a tube or a Simon game from the 70s/80s?

not to mention an advertised price of $499? that's INSANE for a towable..

I think it depends on age and lake to a certain extent.

Now that my daughter and neices/nephew are comfortable on the tube, I despise the Super Mable. It was a great tube but we used it more as a safe cruising tube and don't cruise/tube often. It's size is in the massive catagory.

My first preference is a flat tube. 2 or 3 person. Adding another beside it adds to the fun. I've looked at a tube similar to the pic below for a couple years now but haven't pulled the trigger. Kids are at the age that standing/kneeling may be fun.

I'm needing the safe/cruising tube. I am leaning towards the Costco one for $199. With the Costco return policy it sure beats the 300 to 500 most rubes thus size cost

In that case ... the Super Mable held up great for us. The kids loved the size. It's basically a cruising couch.

Don't want to hijack your thread, but something that goes along with it ....

I have not personally used one but see many that do. Know if they are worth it?

All of the really large tubes are great to play on but man do they take up a lot of room in the boat. I hate dragging those things back in the boat and draining all the water and trying to find room to put it somewhere. We always try and save tubing for the very end of the day.

My favorite tube is the one that stays at home while I take out the boat!

That said, I did get this one off CL that had been used for 1 weekend. It works well and was good for family stuff. I could fit it deflated in one of the bow lockers.

Looks like it can be had for that $200 level.

On a side note, this pump works really well.

I agree super mable had been best wll around. Going on 5th year with ours. It doubles as floating island for kids when we stop to swim.

Dang, they grow up fast. The one on top is headed to Florida State in the fall.

Big mable is great fun for all, can be towed both ways. Quick question we are getting our new Craz in a week or two and dealer told me to pull tube from pylon I am concerned about rope on sun deck. Where does everyone pull tube from.

Ski pylon, never the tower.

So went with the Costco tube, for 199 and then cash back was a no brainer. If it breaks who cares, I'll return it. Yes, pylon, never tower.

I've pulled a tube from the tower once before on someone who wanted to go huge. I whipped them into the double up and they got so high in the air I thought I was going to kill them. I will probably will never do that again even if someone asks me to do it.
On tube preference: Get two single or two double ride tubes instead of the big mable types.
They are much easier to carry around and more fun to ride on.
