Found a smoking deal on one and wanted some advice if anyone has ridden it? Searched for days and can't find shit. It is their top of the line carbon fiber skimmer. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160324/883ed50ee5b0864d289175d12cc02fde.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160324/6157454c5a0f1b4af9de6415e74a5886.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160324/f3fa97fd1ecc224115720ec82793d314.jpg

Never ridden one, so no comment on performance but The size of those fins would suggest it isn't a skim-style board.

More of hybrid but the design is more skimmer based then surf imo. Fins can be swapped out for smaller

Yea, looks like a skim shape and thickness but those fins say surf. I'd probably switch out some different sizes and try 'em all.

For $250 is it worth it? It retails for like 650.

Only you will be able to say if it is worth it. You may love it & it will be worth every penny. You may hate it and regret you didn't use that coin to buy beer.

IMO, it's a wonky board with a skim style construction, but only able to accept fcs fins and along the rails.

If you want true hybrid, look at the Phase 5 Model X. You can use different fin sizes in different locations.

"A good deal is great but the best board is better". Pick a style surf or skim. IMO you give up to many good attributes of each to land somewhere in the middle.

I agree with above. I had a similar CWB board and the same shape and style, fins were the same and in the same location. It ended up being a dog. That being said, I have people that come aboard all the time and try it and love it. Just like boards, everyone has a different style and you might enjoy it. I say go for it, IMO, if you dont like it, maybe one of your crew will.
