So I did this a few years ago and seems that theres a lot of new moomba owners this year so thought I'd post up and see if there's any interest to do this again.
last go around, we had 24 in and for the $20 buy in, ended up getting around 21 coozies. not sure on the cost this year, but thinking it shouldn't have gone up too much. I did learn last time that our canadian bretheren will need to pony up an additional $7 for shipping up north.

Old thread is below that has details and the last post has a pic of one "in action".
https://forum.moomba.com/showthread.php?23717-can-Koozie-buy/page2&highlight=coozie

if there is enough interest, I'll start it up again.

lets give this a week or so and see if it's close to 20. any less than that doesn't make it worthwhile..

of course as before, doing all this with the blessing of Rick and the crew at skiers choice. if they don't condone, please delete the thread...

thx..

I assume these are the little foam style ones? I am out on those. Every single one we got last time, I still have and never been used.

If we do the fancier ones like Ian profile picture that are plastic with floaty, and suction cup. I am in for 10 of them.

The Ian suction cup coozies are nice but they do lack insulating qualities which makes drinking your beverage that much quicker. The only group buy that I've ever done and it was a good one.

I'm down for some slim can coozies for Michelob Ultra cans. I'm trying to watch my girlish figure!

I'm in! Not the Michelin ultra design lol but it would be worth it. Anyway to get them in the bottle style not can? Or half and half?

Your beer should never get warm in a coozie, if it does you need to work on your beer drinking abilities, or get a better Cooler.

Count me in when it comes around. No skinny cans, we drink real beer here.

The way it was done in prior years ... which I think is what sandm is wanting to do ....

You buy in at 20$ ... he orders everything he can with the money ... then splits the coozies evenly when he mails out. Typically you end up with around 20 coozies. It will fluctuate some depending on the number of peeps in the group buy.

A friend of mine on the MB forum organized a group buy for koozies and got them for .32 each. He bought 800 of them in all different colors & they will get shipped to him and then everyone can just buy as many as they want +$7 shipping. He even setup an online store for easy checkout.

feel free to take this on :) that's more work than I want to invest not to mention it looks like he laid out the capital and is hoping to sell 800. I didn't spend hours tracking down the cheapest screenprinter, I used the contact Dusty/KG had from a few years prior to the last GB.

I don't think we are going to garner enough interest. 20 is the sweet spot to start as that nets a $350 order and a few $$ leftover to cover the shipping expenses. with only 12 interested, probably revisit this in the next year or so.

Way to much work for me lol...I was just saying that they had a group buy going as well and seemed to have a lot more people interested. I figured more Moomba members would want koozies, that's all.

This would be the 3rd or 4th (maybe more) go around with multiple styles of coozies. Many members already have them.

Seems like I buy new koozies every year. Everyone seems to loose them or they get "lost" haha I still have a few left after last season though. I just saw this one at the gas station....
