Hello,

I picked up an 02 Supra SL last summer and I am working on some of the kinks before the season starts up again.

My biggest problem was leakage from the rear ballast. There are two large holes in the top of the hard tank, one 2 inch hole that had a plug glued onto it that was leaking and one 1 inch hole that was free flowing.

I want to seal these holes up, I was thinking a threaded plug of some sort with some 3m 5200 on it. Does anyone here have a better suggestion? anyone have any images of the rear tank without any of these issues?

I wouldn't recommend permanently sealing those. You need to keep some sort of access/inspection port (just in general but definitely for ANS inspections). What size are they, any chance they are a garboard drain plate and plug?

The smaller hole is about 1" the larger is about 2.5". The larger one looks to have had a larger pipe plug glued into it, but the 1" one looks like it was a factory seal that just popped. I don't think it was a garbord drain plate, I don't see any screw holes. The tank is poly...wish I had an image of it from the factory.
