What's under the rear locker floor

I have a 08 LSV, and I'm curious what is under the nice flat floor of the rear lockers. Anyone know? I sure hope it isn't just empty, I'm guessing flotation of some sort likely. Just looks like a nice spot to add even more ballast weight to the boat or even a thru hull for a pump if it is empty.

my guess would be foam/flotation. I wouldn't be brave enough to cut into it.
