Hey fellas, I've been a lurker on this forum for quite some time, and I finally just put a deposit down on a new craz at the boat show this weekend. I figured I had better finally introduce myself. We shopped supreme, axis and Tige R series as well. The moomba just seemed to have incredible fit, finish and value compared to the others we looked at. The boat is fairly well equipped and has the surf package with 2500 lbs ballast as well as the auto flow 2.0. It sounds like I should be looking to upgrade the rear bags from 750's to 1100's for max surf performance. Anyone on here been able to perfect their auto flow settings?

There isn't a lot of feedback on the craz yet, I'm looking forward to being a wake nerd and collaborating with the community about how to max out the potential of this fine piece of machinery.

Of course no intro would be complete without a pic of the new ride. The bottom pic is of a mojo at the boat show, the top is of my new baby. I'll be having a high gloss grey decal installed so that the craz looks just like that mojo.[

Congrats on the new ride! Looks sharp.

I believe it will come with 650's in the rear from factory. I'd look into the 1100's over the 750 due to the similar cost and size difference.

Awesome looking Craz! Mine is on order and I can't wait to get the word out with settings, ballast, etc. KG is correct and it should come with 650's in the rear, 700 mid tank, and 500 under the bow seats with the optional surf package.

Thanks guys, pictures don't do that metal flake justice. I'll be sure to post pics as soon as I get it on the water. Josh, I hope we can work together and bounce ideas off eachother to really find out what makes this hull shine. When do you expect to have yours on the water? It'll likely be another 8 weeks before riding season here in saskatchewan.

Where would one get a bigger sack? lol

My dealer said I should get at least 900lbs back there. I am not going to this year though. All my money will go to the down payment and required gear this year. Just wanted to know where to get the extra ballast sacks when the time comes. I am betting the dealer is not the place to go because of cost.

So true. The metal flake is something you must see in person.

Wow, that purple metal flake is gorgeous.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I was a little worried that the color choice was too bold, but your comments have put my mind at ease!

As soon as it gets to Utah it will be on the water. Planning around mid April when it gets shipped here and it's on. Can't wait to figure this boat out and get it dialed for wake and surf.

750s are what came stock in the lockers. I got my 1100s from wake makers. They had the bags and fittings to me in 2 days and straight plug and play. Easy and cheap upgrade.

750s would have been a dealer add. 650s from the factory.

If it is different than this, the dealer explained it wrong, but I was told I had 500 below deck, 500 ibs, and 750 each rear to make the 2500

I think many have come to the same assumption. Factory rep has explained it as 700 + rear 650s. Then 500 for ibs.

I'd like to know if a larger ibs would fit.

I also like the purple, without the grey. When I had vinyl work done the person I worked with was hesitant about putting small areas below the water line for fear of peeling. Something to think about.

Actually. My dealer told me the exact same thing as you. 750's in the rear, 500 in floor and 500 bow. Now I'm going to have to get to the bottom of this. It's weird that there is no ballast layout info on the site, just a total amount. I guess it's not a guge deal if I'm going to ditch the rears anyway.

Did you use the 24x24x50 inch 1100lb bags? I'm still waiting to hear back from wakemakers. About how big I can go.

That is exactly my concern with the decal. Worst case scenario, the decal can be removed I guess.

I've heard from numerous sources the 750 is what came and I sold my take outs as that. The 1100s is as big as you can really go in there, they fill most of the locker close to the top (maybe 6-8" from the top when full).

Enzo style sacs are an option for big weight. See mmandleys post in classifieds for reference or maybe still for sale? Doubt it though because they were a steal.

My take away has been the boat would need more bow weight at the point of Enzo style rears .... but not certain.

I would agree with you on that one. It gets pretty steep with the 1100s, any more I could see it having a negative impact without more weight up front, too steep of a ramp

I would recommend 1100s & a 750ibs

You have a good point. That is a lot of weight in the rear end. I'm definitely not interested in having any exposed bags.

I do have access to plate steel of various gauges, so I may experiment with some low profile steel ballast that stretches the same footprint as an enzo sac. Another idea have is to replace the dividers beside the engine with steel plate. The goal being max ballast without sacraficing all the storage space.

Do you know if the 750 ibs fits with the factory plumbing? Is it maxed out at that point?

My mondo....yes
Craz....most likely

You should have 2 fill lines on each leg and a vent at the top.

Well, I went ahead and added the 1100's in the rear lockers. Looks like we've confirmed that the 750 ibs fits in the mondo and mojo, but I wonder if there is room in the craz's traditional bow. There is still ice on the lake here, so I'm not able to fill up my ibs to see if there is actually room for a bigger bag than stock. Can you guys with a craz on the water confirm or deny that there is room for a bag the size of the 750? Just to settle the argument earlier in this thread, I spoke with the regional sales rep, who confirmed that the rear bags are only 650lbs. So it seems a few of us were misinformed by our dealers.

Just over 9 hours on my Craz and haven't touched the fill button on the ballast :p

When I've filled my ibs it goes to the top touching the seats. Any extra would have to come from longer legs
