I finalized the deal today on a 2016 Mojo. I could not be more excited for the season to arrive. Now we just need the ice to melt to put some hours on her! Here is a picture of it all put away in the garage.

Boat is nice of course too. You fit that it there with tower down first? Or is it just that tight if a fit.

The Marine Products boat show Mojo! I met a lot of people at the show and that boat was a popular one so their might be a chance that I talked with you about it. I'm not far from you since I'm from West Jordan, hope to see that boat on the water. Our new Craz should be here next month:cool:

I did have to fold the tower down to get it in the garage. However the 'S' Bend tower makes that simple!

Josh, I talked with you on Thursday night, I was in the Craz. I loved the Craz but really loved the Mojo. Marine Products was great to work with. Excited to see your new Craz when it arrives.

KG, My garage door height is 9' and the ceiling in the garage is just over 11'. Fits like a glove!

That's a beauty, so is the floor. Would it have cleared an 8ft garage door?

Right! I thought it was 1 more year before the upgrade... I thought wrong! Well congrats on the new ride, let's get together this year and get some legit pictures of the boats together.

Dusty, It would not clear a 8ft garage door. I have maybe 4" from hitting the 9ft door.

Josh, I worked my magic on my wife and with the help of MP sold my old boat. It could not have worked out any better. I up for getting together for a photo shoot!

The dealership puts them on so as you are climbing in and out you don't get the platform dirty. They took it off when I picked up the boat.

Super nice looking Mojo congrats.

KG I have a swim platform cover a well. I can hook you up with one of you like.

I want to say they are 60-70 bucks.

Cory with Evolution covers makes them also. When I tow or lane my boat out for a long time I use mine.

I had a platform cover on my last boat and it was awesome! My main goal was to keep as much sun off the platform but never used one during transport. I loved it and hope to have 1 for the new Craz when it gets here in April.

Looks like we're finally getting a decent group of Skiers Choice owners in Norther Utah, need to plan a Utah Jam. MP does some awesome stuff at Jordanelle, maybe just tag along with them.

Great looking boat by the way....

All you Utah guys: what all is involved when you want to go from a contaminated body of water (Deer Creek or Lake Powell) to somewhere that's not contaminated? What all do you have to do to your boat? How do you all do this? I'm just curious the amount of work that goes into flushing out ballast, engine, bilge, etc.

This is probably your best resource. http://wildlife.utah.gov/invasive-mussels.html

For me, i typically just don't go to those lakes, but it's only a matter of time before more are contaminated.

I know that simply pulling the drain plugs and simply emptying the ballast bags isn't going to completely take the water out. Even when I pull my ballast bags for the winter, I still have a small amount of residual water in the bags even after I remove the bags and attempt to pour all the water out of the disconnected bag. Likewise, to get my bilge completely dry when I winterize, I have to suck the water out and use towels to get it completely dry.

So I guess I'm curious from some of you that go through this what you actually do in practice and how it all works out for time/effort.

I agree, it's impossible to completely rid a boat of water. My go to lake, Jordanelle, just finished installing a pretty fancy decontamination unit, have yet to see it run, but even then, still think you can not get to all places water hides.

I'm usually UT Lake and Lake Powell... Once UT is low then I head to DC.

It's not bad if you plan 30 min or so and worth the time. It's all honor system and nobody wants to take the time to do it right. I head to Lake Powell or DC and the next step is to professionally decon the boat and I bet less then 10% people do it. Jordanelle having a fancy station to me is a waist of money since more dirty boats will go by then go on. Look at Powell, MILLIONS spent on this prevention and it's now full blow contaminated. My guess UT is soon to be 100% dirty since we have many dishonest boat owners.

We have major problem with contamination at fishing lakes in IL and WIS. 99% is from buttheads that hop lakes with livewells(fishing boats) and dont clean of weeds or drain tanks. After talking to DNR and fisheries biologists our ballasted boats are not the problem unless we stay bagged out and trailer to another lake then dump

moombacraze
03-11-2016, 12:09 AM
We drain and dry everything that we can. I also will take my ballast bags out and lay them in the sun. Utah has set a timeline that the boat needs to be out of the water before you can put the boat in a different lake. For example if I went to Lake Powell in the summer months I would have to wait 7 days before I could go to another lake unless I have the boat professionally decontaminated. So it really come down to the honor system, which is why they are spreading.
