Not the best written thing ever but has anyone heard anything about this?

Two things, this gas is hard to find as it is, my marina only sells higher octane fuel. Second I only use the higher octane, minimum of 91 and add this each fill up.

Don't see this as an end of the world as we know it type of thing and as the article was very politically written as we're in an election year I doubt any candidate will address it.

e15 is somewhat of a big deal as it's not been tested in older cars/trucks/boats/etc. hope it doesn't come around.

when I had the supra, I used to search out ethanol free to avoid vapor lock. had it happen a few times. older boats with fuel pumps in the engine compartment seem to be more susceptible to vapor lock. current boat, I buy mid-grade as that's what the manual calls for but I don't worry about ethanol or non-ethanol as I use it quick enough in the summer to not care and have not noticed any knock or performance differences from non-ethanol. most new towboats on the water today have been tested and rated for ethanol blends(up to 10%). when I store the boat, I try to find ethanol free and do use sta-bil as ethanol blended fuels will start to phase separate in longer term storage than regular non-ethanol fuel.

buy whatever octane fuel your manual tells you to. anything more is really a waste of money.

Moomba manual for the Raptor specifically states to use non-methanol gas and if using e-10 it states to use stabilizer like sivs1 uses.

Crazy, where will you get it? Both my Stingray and LSV recommended 87 nut I found with both that when I used 87 they would diesel and would not when used 91 or greater. The lowest elevation I typically boat at is just shy of 3,000 feet. Most the time I'm at 6,000.

Be sure and read the pump. Lots of the stations on their list/map were entered years ago and no longer carry the ethanol free fuel.

Get the boating lobby to work on it much like the motorcycle industry is doing. Non-ethanol won't go away at the gas stations. I can't afford non-ethanol for my boat as it is double the price of regular gas.

indmar engine manual states that you are ok to use up to 10% ethanol.

fuel stabilizers are recommended but not required.

The marina where we used to be told me they couldn't get the ethanol free. They claim they dump ethanol treatment into their big tank when it is filled.
