Starting a new thread to go along with my cracked center tank thread. If you followed that, then you know that I had water stuck in my hull. I have finally gotten all the water out, about 4 gallons total, and now it is time to repair the hole. I plan on using an epoxy type resin to patch it, but my real question is this:
What is the black coating that is sprayed on the fiberglass in the bilge and inner side wall areas?
The hull is basically two fiberglass units glued together and filled with foam. I have areas under the front of the fuel tank that are chipped, and bare fiberglass is showing. I believe water may have leaked into the foam thru these areas, so I want to repair them. thanks for any suggestions.
