I purchased a couple of these to install in my boat. Is it just a matter of wiring them to one of the open rocker switches I have? Do i need to fuse anything? I'm planning on installing 4 of them, 2 in the front, where the speakers are and 2 in the back where the speakers are.

I just got a bunch of those as well, I was just planning on taping them to my Interior light switch.

Or possibly my main stereo switch as long as it doesn't add noise to the system.

I installed these today and they look great. I guess you have other things to do before you get to these, but it was easy and they look great. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

The fuse or breaker protecting the rocker is likely 10X what those strips can carry. Meaning, if the strip fails, it will glow a nice fiery orange long before the OEM fuse will trip. Yes, you can use an unused rocker switch, but recalculate the switch's fuse/breaker.

I do have a lot going on but trust me, once they pick up the furniture and we have Staged furniture, I got nothing but time on my hands to do these types of things.
Of course I might be that guy wanting to borrow tools then LOL

So can I put an in line fuse on the positive wire and if so what size.

I am going to add a strip under the dash but here's what I've done so far. The wife was even impressed.

Is it possible to wire these in a series? Noticed one end of the LED lights is sealed.

Thanks,

I believe that you can wire them in series, look at the end where they are sealed and if there are 2 small strips of metal under the silicone you can cut the edge off and solder to them. Its not super easy though. On the RGB ones I Installed the max current was shown on the bottom of the little power supply so that is just what I fused it at. I am not sure what you need on these but you do need a fuse like mentioned above.
