I performed my own winterization this year (first timer, followed cabs write up. mad props!), and today i just went out there to put some grease on the threads so they don't rust over winter. I was using a q tip with the cotton removed to spread the grease on the threads and ended up pulling out a bunch of small chunks of metal debris, rust, etc from inside of where the plugs would sit. Has anyone else ever noticed this? Reading through the manual it mentions a zinc anode, but correct me if i'm wrong, those are only on fresh water cooling systems whereas the raw water systems (like mine) do not have those.

Boat is a 2008 LSV with 325 Indmar Assault.

Totally normal. First time I drained the block on my old I/O it freaked me out with the junk that came out. Not a lot but I didn't expect anything but water to come out.

Bottle caps, bikini straps, chicken wing bones, frog skeletons, goggles. All perfectly normal.
