I see that this is on sale for Black Friday. I currently have a Clarion M303 deck that has Bluetooth but am not happy with the range.
1) Will this connect to a WS420sq just the same as the Exile eq?
2) I have an Iphone 5 with IOS 8.1.2. Will this connect?
3) Will I be able to control the stereo still with the Clarion MW1 wired remote I have?

Liquid -
1) you will be able to connect to the AUX input on your 420. no problem
2)works with any hand device. No problem
3) no- wired remote will not work because your bypassing the deck and connecting directly to your 420. You would control your tunes from your phone from anywhere on the boat. Hope that helps.

Brian,
Thanks for the reply.
Will the remote work if it's connected directly to the deck? The wired remote is in to the back of the deck.
Will the deck be able to still control the tunes or just the bluetooth device connected?

Can this module be directly connected to an amp (say in a UTV install)?
I would suspect a line driver control would be useful in this type of scenario and fine tuning could be controlled with a phone app?

Followup-
@ LA - yes for sure you could do that. I was just trying to be specific to the question you asked i your point number #3. If connected to Deck AUX input then yes your volume adjustment would work on the remote on Source 1.
@Viking - yes for sure. A lot of guys are using them on UTV and plugging directly into the amp. With 2.2V output its a home run on the cheap. Check out the exile instragram page theres a few installs on there. Also might consider the media center for track up down if thats important. And the 2 zone controller. Cost more but uses the same chip set.

This is how I run my Corvette Stereo. I wanted to keep the factory look of the Bose Cassette / CD player. So I by passed all that and my BT is connected directly to the amp, my Phone does all the controlling.
When you look in the Vette is looks stock, but everything has actually been replaced.
Just make sure you have the Media volume turned down on your phone LOL.

I went ahead and ordered one for the Audi. I am really happy with the one in the boat, so why not use the other in the car

It may depend on how you have yours wired up. Mine is through my ZLD aux function so I only see "aux" on my driver's side wired remote. I never touch the head unit but I would imagine it's the same.

for $25 I figured it'll work good for my RZR system whenever I finally get to it. Missed the Exile BF sale cause I couldn't make my mind up. But added it to my Bakes.com order for cyber monday. They still had it for 1/2 off. And it put my order over the amount for free shipping :) Gotta love this time of year LOL

Got mine from Bakes yesterday too. Added it to the box anchor I got for 25% off for Cyber Monday.
