Jake has shared pics of his oil extraction setup with cart, etc. I think he may have used a pump like this:

On sale for $20 at Harbor Freight. Bolt it to a $5 bucket from Home Depot and you're way ahead of the me and the $130 I spent on the contraption I bought.

Wow. That is cheap. Outlets look small, but I assume once the motor and oil is heated, that should work fine.

Seems like a good use of $25 to me! Looks to be the same as this: http://amzn.com/B00AOAFP9C

Same as used here for my first in Aus, purchased from auto retailer and did the job well enough. Plenty of suction, didn't use the smaller hose as we fitted 3/8 power steering hose to extend the drain hose out thru the rear plug/drain and connected to the inlet of the pump. Used the large clear tube on the outlet side to an empty oil container. Dragged a battery out we had lying around to power it, didn't drain much power it seemed. How long will it last?? Will have to wait and see.

Even better....that's actually Northern Tool which always seems to have better quality stuff than Harbor Freight!!

HA!

Yes, that was Northern Tool. Guess it was so cheap, I figured it was from Harbor Freight.
