Mottled Gelcoat

I lifted my boat off the trailer this weekend in order to do a few repairs on the trailer & noticed a kind of mottled texture to the underside of the boat where it sits on the trailer, you can only see this when its off the trailer & when its in the water you'd never see it.

is this normal?

It's call osmotic blisters. Pretty common to see them where your trailer bunks sit next to your boat.
