Does anyone know the thickness of the new wake plate? Looks like 1/4" thick Aluminum?

I am waiting on my new FAE. Once I get it installed, I will see how much I can add.

Is it possible to get a picture from the back looking down at it? Is it a rectangle or is it tapered in the back?

Do you have the auto-flow tabs installed on your LSV?

No I do not. Waiting to see what Wakeland comes out with for their aftermarket 2.0 system.

How has there not been a "I bet she'll appreciate that" comment yet?

With the size of the wakeplate on my 16 SA I don't even think an FAE is possible.

I am pretty sure FAE has a workaround.

I measured the 13 Plate and its 22x11 so its just as wide, not as long.

The length would allow more up pressure on the rear, the width though can only be as wide as the flat section of the hull. If you try to make it wider you will need to bend it to contour the hull shape.

This is what I did with my extension plate I made. My plate is currently 26 wide with the extra width bent up to the same shape as the hull.

I personally would have to make a cut out for my FAE if I wanted to extend any more past the 12 i have now.

DatTexasboay, FAE will still make you a system, they would extend the main pipe farther back or possible make a side bend to drop it on the side of the plate, not sure of the room with Swell. I know they can be extended back because they can attack to the swim deck bracket for support.

Mike, I wonder if the new wake plate would be a direct screw in replacement for ours, as for the fae, could you not cut out the plate to keep the fae in the same place--the tab would then extend back past the fae on both sides.

On the FAE that's exactly what I could do, I am just not sure I am sold on needing the extra length, I have found a lot of success with extending the plate wider and shaping it to the hull. I can run off side weight on my goofy and now people don't have to move around.

Also the boat isn't leaning as much now on goofy.

I will have to do more testing next season but I think we are done in the PNW, air temps are cooling down drastically, my local lake is almost 50ft below full, even the rivers are lower then normal now.

Not sure if the mounting holes are in the same spot or not. If they are not, then drill new ones and fill the old ones with 5200. The hinge would cover the old holes.

Measured mine and it's 16X22 1/2.

Mike if they extended it past the plate it would be so far back it's crazy.

I made this wake plate extension for my 2012 Moomba Mojo 2.5 in hopes of being able to get a clean wake below 19 mph for my kid. The plate extension adds 5 inches to the stock plate with the 22" width being the same. The new dimension is 22 X 16 X 1/8(thickness reinforced with 3 angles).

I have to do more testing, but the modification did not seem to clean up the wake much when the plate was down all the way. The wake seemed a little bit cleaner with the plate 100% up, but only at about 19.5 mph. I did not think it was a significant improvement, so I will probably bail on the idea.

I was told by Moomba that the new larger plate was only tested for hole shot improvement.
