Hey everyone! So I have a new 2016 Craz and am trying to play with the surf wave a bit. Yesterday swapped out the stock 750# rear sacs for 1100’s and am gonna lake test it tomorrow. My question is this, should I mess with the AutoFlow2 settings or leave them at what they came from the factory? They are currently set at 50%/0% from the factory. I’ve never had any kind of system like this and don’t want to go messing with something that shouldn’t be messed with. But am I safe to put it to say 80%/0%, has anyone done this with theirs? Will the % vary based on how much weight is in the boat? Thanks in advance! By the way, here is a pic of our 5 week old princess :) 23055

start here:

https://forum.moomba.com/showthread.php?26954-Autoflow-2-0-settings

then, mess with it!

you will find that to optimize your wave, you will need to adjust every time you ride as there are always variances to account for: amount of fuel, number/size of people, water conditions, etc.

GREAT looking boat, BTW

OK awesome, thanks! So it seems maybe the dealer already turned mine down a bit to get more push when they did their quality check on it. I can play with it a bit too tomorrow and see how the swell looks with different settings. We went from a 2006 Tige 22V to this so it is a pretty big difference having this versus manually filling bags in our last boat haha. So far we love it though, already have 20 hours on it and got it in August :)

She's purdy!! There isn't much season left so get out and use it. Pictures on the water are always welcomed :)

Hey, Jtatexc, We saw you on cherry creek the other day. my son and i were very envious of the new Craz. I am in the 08 LSV blue and white. good to see some locals here. If you ever need a 3rd, let me know. what did you have before the Craz? we will be riding until they close Dec 1. I would love to go for a ride on the new boat. actually, i would like to get some measurements on the trailer for storage. we want to upgrade but it has to fit in the garage. I am helpless on any of your settings for ballast, autoflow, etc.

and we get a chime in from DFTR from SLC! (of which josh, my daughter goes to BYU and has not been able to find a ride. any help? sorry for a hijack)

thanks

Can't help you on the exact measurements but the Craz should sit same length or less on the trailer as your LSV. They moved the bow D ring down the hull on the Mondo, Craz, and Mojo. My Mojo is the same length on the trailer as my LSV was even though it's a foot longer. It's the height that has a big difference.

Jtatexc does the Craz fit in your garage? It looks like you have 8ft high garage doors and I was wondering with the tower down can you get it inside?

Thanks

I'd be curious to get the total height of the boat plus trailer with the tower down as well!

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get any notifications and didn't realize it was still going :)
The boat does fit in my garage. I have a 3 car bay and I pitch it sideways with our Subaru next to it. We had an 06 Tige 22V before this (black and yellow with custom urban gas mask graphics) and it fit in the garage almost the exact same. This boat is definitely taller and a few inches wider than the Tige but same length. the trailer is same as the hull, I have plenty of room in front. the issue I had was that the height with the tower DOWN is literally 7'11.75". I have to pull the tower down to clear by 8' garage door which had me depressed the day I got it home.

I got my 1100# sacs put in each locker and my god does it make a difference! Both the wave and gas bill are huge! I have found that the 1000# up front and rear sacked out with wake plate all the way up at about 10.1 is pretty good but still trying to dial it in and it can vary with weight. We have been playing on it a lot, already have 35 hours and got it the second week of August. Yearround shoot me a PM with your number, always looking for extras. we will ride for about another month or so, usually pack up shop earl November depending on weather.

I will get more pics up here in the next few days when we get it out. most of what we have is gopro footage. Here is a fun link of the boats first day on the lake though. My buddy made it so all the footage is him but its pretty funhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0FpMmCp5cg

Wow congratulation, that's a huge wave!!! How many peoples are in the boat?
I will get mine next April with the stock ballast system in the back and the extra bag in the bow.
So you would say buying the 1100s for the back is necessary?

Yes! The wave above was on the first day with stock 750's. The 1100# in each is great, totally worth the money! That day we had a crew of 5 so three in the boat there.

I'm considering getting a new Craz, or the Helix? Are you all happy with the wave the Craz makes?

I'm really happy with mine after upgrading to 1,100's in the rear and adding an IBS. If you get the surf edition, you don't need the IBS.

Sorry, first boat for us, what is the IBS?

In bow sac. It's a ballast bag that goes under the bow seats. I didn't get the surf edition, so I added it. Pretty simple upgrade...I was pretty new to wakeboats and got it done in 45 minutes or so.

get it with auto surf

Yep, definitely get the auto surf if you're getting a 2017. You'll need to upgrade the rear bags to 1100's for sure, so negotiate that as part of the deal.

I've put 95 hrs on my craz so far this summer. What I've fount to work best is about 3400-4200 lbs of ballast depending on crew size. We rode this afternoon with a crew of 5 and roughly 4200 lbs of water ballast. I've found that any more weight than that doesn't really improve the wave. We always favor one passenger to surf side. I haven't ridden the helix, but I would imagine it has a bit less potential because it is a shorter boat.

I should add that we still have lots of freeboard even with that much weight. Oh and the wave is great too!
