I have to go to Columbus for a couple days after the holiday weekend. So, where's to eat if the company is buying? Where do you eat if you are buying yourself (excellent food locals know)? My stomach thanks you.

I'm staying at the Hilton Downtown. Get in on Tues. the 8th in time for lunch, leaving before dinnertime on Thurs. the 10th. Usually do one expensive dinner with company folks and one local place/pub on my own or with just a few folks I know. Love to grab a cold one if something works with your schedule. I'll PM you.

Seriously? You post this here vs a phone call?

Polaris Grill & World of Beer. One of my best friends owns both.

You need to hit Skyline Chili and Montgomery Inn as well.

Ha!!! I almost texted you and almost called but then thought it would be so much more fun to let everybody play. I had no idea there was Montgomery Inn in Columbus. I thought that was a Cincy thing only. Hmmmm. May have to adjust plans big time. And, skyline chili? Might have to make that my landing lunch when I arrive.

I'll call you tomorrow to get this nailed down. Thanks!

Montgomery Inn is ok in Columbus, not as good as the one in Cincy. I've never made it to world of beers. Always forget about it.

Montgomery Inn Dublin. Not as good as mentioned but it will do :) not fancy but I love Dirty Franks for a good hotdog and a beer :)

Oh, and I'm not a buckeye fan ;) So maybe my opinion doesn't count ;)

I like to hit up the Starliner Diner in Hilliard. I have never had a bad meal there. Reasonable prices and very unique. It is a bit of a dive though.

I second both Starliner Dinner and Dirty Franks. We eat at one or the other once a month. They are both hidden dive gems.
