Australian connection?

Is there any connection between Moomba and Australia or is it a creation of Skiers Choice's marketing minds?

I believe the original Boomerang was an Austrailian design but I think that from there on it is pretty much marketing. Ironically, there is a company called Lewis boats over there that copied the outback by making a mold from a real outback. They sell it as the Lewis Outback and it even has a the same font on the outback decals. If you search the threads, there is an explanation from Rick, the president of SC.
