Working on installing the IBS for my Craz. I can't connect the vent hose to the quick connect. Just too tight of a fit. Any recommendations? I thought about heating up the end of the vent hose, but I don't want to melt it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hair dryer, heat gun, or bucket of hot water all work well. Don't need much heat to get it flexible.

Thanks! my wife had just suggested the hair dryer as well. Hopefully that works better than the choice words I've been trying. :D

I found the hot water method to work best.

How hot are we talking? Hot water from the tap, or do you get it near boiling?

I've taken hot from the tap and that's still not enough.

Edit - I'll give it a bit longer this go around.

Well, 10 minutes in hot water didn't do the trick. Instructions on wakemaker's website don't say anything about having to heat up the vent hose and makes it sound like install should only take 20 minutes. Going to have to try a hair dryer tomorrow.

I took one of my wife's 2 cup Pyrex measuring cups, filled it up and put it I the microwave for 4 mins then let the hose sit in it for about 10 mins.

Thanks for all the replies. Wife said we could wait another 15 minutes to get the kids ready for bed (she knew I was a little frustrated!). Decided to get the water just about to boiling and that worked like a charm.

3 rum and cokes! Can't wait to get this out on the water now...from 2,000#s to 3,650. Well, realistically 3,300.
