So I found the drain hose coiled up on starboard side. Pushed it through the drain plug at the back. Took the cap off and got 1/4 of a cup of oil. Checked the oil it is good. Blew into the hose and didn't get any bubbling sound. Not sure what is going on here. 2015 lsv raptor engine

I think, generally, using a fluid/oil extractor is the way to go. I got 7 1/2 quarts on my 20 hr change. Simply insert the extractor hose through that drain hose.

Also, I found that sealing the drain hose around the extractor hose eliminated air bubbles and made it flow much better. Took <15 mins.

Whole oil change took 10 minutes easier than my pickup. Shur-flo drill pump and adapters to hook to hose connected to bottom of pan self priming empty into a container change filter, refill with oil

You might also see the oil listed as synthetic blend. Any “brand name” 5W30 synthetic blend will be fine. You can use a Ford/Motorcraft FL820 Filter. It is going to hold approximately 8 Quarts of Oil.

Walmart carries the Motorcraft oil and filter. I would run full synthetic Mobil 1 if I had the Raptor motor.

I will be switching to Syn oil on second oil change

Either on this forum or the Supra one, I read about the idea of using a 12V sprayer pump from Northern Tool.
The pump was $25-30 bucks. I had a bunch of extra hose in my garage, wire, and battery clips. I put a switch on it later.
Once the motor is heated, I hook-up the pump to the drain hose thru the drain plug.
It gets the oil out of there pretty quick. Almost goes too fast when the oil starts spitting out.
Last week my stupid azz was tired after being on the lake all day and not paying attention when the oil started going all over the driveway . . .

Drill pumps work but if you want to step up your game check these out:

Slick setup as close to my cart as you can get. Some air hose fittings and shut off valves with a couple of attachments make changing all fluids mess free and simple.

Holly crap. That takes my cheap-spayer pump system to a whole different level. But that is my setup w/o the expensive pump.
Anything with Jabsco or Johnson pumps is typically WELL built.

So I'm looking to winterize and am gonna pick up a drill hose, but can someone tell me where to get the adaptor that fits the end of the oil drain hose? I actually haven't looked at it yet, just wondering if there's something with a perfect fit. Thanks!
