The wheel and lower post fell off my trailer jack this weekend somewhere during my 4 hr ride so I need to replace the jack... I was looking at the Fulton F2 or XLT... Any suggestions from anyone? Which model will work for my 2008 boatmate trailer? Will I need an adapter plate? Thanks in advance for any help!

Here's the adapter kit that's the least expensive for the F2. I use it and it seems to work fine. I have the F2. Many say that the single wheel is actually easier to turn if you have to roll your trailer around at all.

Aren't the both F2's and the single wheel is called the wide track? The dual wheel model always seemed flimsy to me. When my neighbor had his replaced under warranty this year Mastercraft put the wide track model on it and it appears to be more robust.

I like the price of this one

But would prefer the single wheel... Cant seem to find a single wheel F2 sold without mounting hardware like the one in the link

Don't know anything about this company but with the coupon code it looks like the same price as the dual wheel you linked.

I would recommend not getting the 'dual wheel' over the 'wide track' version. I have seen several of the dual wheel versions breaking the wheels.

This recently happened to me, caused the boat to lunge forward and put a nice little dent in my new bumper above my hitch.

I found this on the Malibu site from a 2013 post:

Depending on the year of the jack, there were some impurities in the plastic in the jack wheels breaking due to Fulton not using virgin plastic in
the molding process. This was fixed, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is some hacks in the field that still have this issue.

The wheel that Boatmate uses now is a revised single wheel jack that was not available in mass quantities from Fulton last year.

And I know some people have had problems because with their dual wheel, all the pressure ended up on one wheel with the other wheel basically being able to free spin.

I haven't had any problems with mine YET, but I can't say I'd be completely surprised if I did.

F2 with pivoting footplate.

I think that might be a better option than wheels. I mean, how many of us ever really move our trailer on the tongue jack wheels anyway???

I use to move my Stingray around the garage a lot, smaller boat and single axle, don't see myself trying to move the LSV around, bigger and tandem trailer.

It's nice to be able to easily move it an inch or two if you're not perfectly lined up. I use it a lot.

Me too! I've had both the wide one wheel and two wheel versions. Like the wide1 better.
I stick a jack stand under the tongue when I have it where I want it in the shop and take the load off the jack.

I'll have to get a picture of it, all it looks like it the spokes are white with stress, and the back side is cracked. Once I remove it from the jack I will snap a shot. I have the replacement wheel but I need 2 large sockets and I only have 1, so I need to buy another socket to fit it to replace it. Right now I just make sure its always level or leaning more on the good wheel.

Yikes.

How big of socket do you need? it's something you couldn't use a wrench on? Or even a crescent wrench? if you were closer, I'd be happy to let you borrow a socket though.

I think it's 13/16 and it's counter sunk on the wheel. Have to use sockets

I have to pull mine out of the garage and put it away by hand. Even tho it's a 3 car the "bays" are not deep enough for the boat even with the platform off and the swing away tongue. Thus, it has to go in on an angle across 2 bays. Have to back in and start cutting it then finish by hand. Reverse the process on the way out. So we roll it on the little wheel every time.
