Hey anyone have experience with doing spins on these 2 boards? I was talking to someone the other day who mentioned that because of the very sharp underside edge that they have, they are quite difficult to actually complete a spin because they catch the wave very easily.

This is what is happening to all of us. The board spins very very easily ... but its always catching coming around after the first 180. MAYBE 20% of the time we can keep it from catching. I have seen a few other boards who have the "rounded" edge on both the top deck and the underside ... and common sense says that those wouldn't catch nearly as easy/often as these boards wouldn't it?

Pix of the edge I'm talking about

I don't know. I've spun around twice on my DD-- just didn't ride it out.

I sent a note off to a guy who is a pretty good rider and knows a bit about these boards to see if he would pop on here and give some insight.

hint: one of the boards is named after him.

I'll get some GP footage tomorrow with the Danielo and post it up. Maybe someone else can see where I'm going wrong

My riding buddy just bought one two weeks ago. We both spin just fine, we just have trouble stopping. Usually spin right out the back after 720° or so!

See my post in the old guy 360 thread, sounds like you're making the same mistakes I was making.. Don't think the board has that much to do with it, then again I can't ride the phase 5 boards so..

I ride the razz and haven't had any trouble with the 360's other than my skill level is low... haha

Probably just me ... I got to ride a Ronix Koal Skimmer for a few days and it definitely made a difference. I wasnt catching the front edge at all. The problem was stopping the board after the first 3.
