Had some problems at the dock the other night. Long story short, a cable came disconnected from a spot next to the wheel. Not sure which it is but looks like it screws into the spot where it goes. Only problem is cable doesn't like to twist. Any suggestions.

Steering wheel I'm guessing?

A cable or a tube with a fitting on the end? Like a brake line....

Sorry man - no clue what you're describing. A pic or 2 may help.

On a Boatmate trailer, it would be new to me to see a "cable" near the wheels. You should have small metal tubing running from the tongue of the trailer (brake master cylinder) back near to each wheel, then a short rubber hose (~ 12") that attaches metal tubing to each wheel.

The brake line screws into the banjo bolt on the brake caliper. it's the brass rectangular piece that has the bolt going through it.

Here's a new caliper and you can see that the brake line screws in where the red cap is.

However, with that brake line disconnected you've got no trailer brakes working right now. additionally, even if you just screw it back in, you're going to have to fill your brake fluid back up and bleed the system to get any air out of the lines.

You'll also need to check if the brass piece is stripped out where the line would screw into it. if it is stripped out, it'll be a cheap part. just take it into any auto parts store and get a new one.

How do I screw back in?

As suggested above check the brake caliper block. Try and figure why it came out, I just don't see this unscrewing on it own.
Once all is good, you could try to counter screw the brake hose before starting it back in the brake caliper. I don't recall what the other end looks like at the metal tubing, you might have luck taking it lose from there first. Worse case once the hose is back on, you could take the caliper off to untwist the hose to a normal position.

Once all is done you will need to fill and bleed you brake system. This video will you show to do it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6aFI4kXQX8.
