View Full Version : How do you ask the ladies to move over there?
Its one thing to ask the guys to move over to the other side of the boat for ballast but how do you ask the women to move over for a ballast change?
What we say: Can you move over there?
What they hear: Can you move your fat a$$ over there?
Of course it doesn't matter what their weight is, you lose.
To this point I don't ask them to move but someone else on the boat did and it was pretty damn funny.

Simply explain that their weight is twice as much as they think. If you weigh 120 lbs. that equals 240 lbs. The first 120 what you remove from the port side and the other 120 is the weight you add to the starboard side. So, somebody like me would actually weigh 440 lbs. in a boat. See?

I tell them it's a requirement that everyone sits on that side of the boat. end of story :)

Tell them that what you really want are a bunch of fat chicks in your boat but that you'll settle for them if they at least cram together on one side.

"Hey tons of fun - move that mountain"
Maybe just throw chocolate where they should be sitting?

If you need them to move quickly without a lengthy explanation involved you can always just point towards their feet and go "is that a snake?"

I bribe with beer, but honestly I used to tell them at the start of the day when we surf you might need to move.
Generally they are in the bow so it doesn't matter.
Now that I made my wake plate extension girls on the off side don't effect my wave. So it was an added bonus.
Generally they are in the bow so it doesn't matter.
So that is universal, they always ride in the bow!
When the girls find this thread we are all in trouble. Well most of us.

I generally say that "everyone" needs to be somewhere between the centerline and surf side of the boat. It's really never been a problem.
And the women we have on our boat aren't the type to get offended. And if they are, we just give them more wine.
My wife's never a risk, as she's either driving or knows what I would expect.
