Finally got the Craz out to try some surfing yesterday.
It was my first time surfing (not just my boat, but first time ever) and I had a blast. Unfortunately, with the stock ballast setup, there just enough push to surf ropeless. For reference, I'm 5' 11" and 175lbs. I tried multiple boards and just couldn't go ropeless for more than 5 seconds.
After surfing the Craz, I surfed another forum member's Tige yesterday and had no problem going ropeless on multiple boards/styles. Certainly wasn't the most fluid ride you would have ever seen, but it was fun and I thought it went well for my first time out.
I plan to purchase 1,100's for the rear and a 650 bow sac this week. Hoping to get back out ASAP. In the meantime, I'll be researching how to integrate the bow sac...hopefully that's relatively easy.
