Took a pretty large wave over the bow today and realized the Bolshevik pump on my 08 lsv is not working real great. Works intermittently and then seems to get loaded down and stop. Two questions, is there a better bigger pump to replace this 500 and two, has anyone added another bolder the the very back of the boat. Thinking a second one in very far back could be good to get the constant small amount of water in the bilge out by puttinung the boat in in surf speed with bow way up. Thanks

Damn autocorrect. Bilge bump not Bolshevik.

I,ve had three inboard ski boats so far. They all came with a single bilge pump mounted near the center under the motor. On all three I added an additional pump at the very back and as low as I could get it.My bilge stays a-lot dryer and my present boat(2003 outback ls)still has the original steering cable and turns very smoothly.I attribute this to keeping the bilge dry.

I agree with the 2 bilge pump idea. One as low and central as possible and one way back.

Thanks. Any recommendations on what bilge pump is the best?

Did you guys put a second thru-hull drain or a Y-fitting with check valves?
