Hi,

Boat is a 2012 Mobius LSV. Both empty/fill stopped working on my center ballast pump. Light switch comes on and nothing happens. I'm assuming I probably blew a fuse but am having one heck of a time finding the fuse block under the dash. I've read multiple posts saying to just lay under the dash and look up but I can't see to find it. I find the breakers easy enough, but no luck finding the fuses...

My sub box may be adding to the trouble in finding it. Could anyone help with a specific place to look? I think i've spent like 30 minutes looking already.:confused::confused: driving me crazy.

Thank you!

mine took a bit to find, if laying under there feet towards stern mine were up in the back right corner, almost impossible to reach let alone replace fuses.

Like Sivs1 said, may be in the back right corner, more towards the walk through. It's a tight fit. I'm having the same issue and going to try and replace a few things tonight. Did they tell you what size of fuse to replace with? I'm also going to try replacing the impeller on the pump [non-reversible], does anyone know what size they take?

I'll post up a picture tonight if no one else has one handy.

You check the center ballast impeller in the rear compartment .

Pretty sure the newer boats, 12 up they moved the ballast fuse block to the engine area, mine is on the Port side panel in the engine bay.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

mmandley - Are you referring to the 60A breaker that feeds the pumps? Or do you have a separate fuse block somewhere nearby?

jmvotto - I didn't check the impeller, but I did check for power at the pump and was not getting any.

From the pics of the fuses under the dash i've seen, it should be mounted to the brace to the right of the breakers (that runs front to back). Nada like this on my boat.

You check the center ballast impeller in the rear compartment .

THIS-- You said the impeller wasnt getting power, so maybe this isnt an issue, but maybe just maybe you tested the wrong impeller... The impellers are known to stick and stop the pump from moving. with the engine off, have someone hit the ballast switch while you're near the pumps and listen for a click. Youll even feel the pump try to turn if you have your hand on it.

Hey everyone.

I too was having some issues with filling my right and center bag. I was reading this post and did some under dash searching for my issues. This is what I found. 22673

I think this is my fuse box. I think I see why my 2 bags were not filling. I will be getting a couple of 5 amp fuses tomorrow to see if that works. Don't know why they would be unhooked and fuses out?

Quick update:

Never found the fuses lol

Problem fixed though! Turns out the little bit of corrosion inside the "watertight" connector was enough to break the connection. Cleaned it up and we're back in business!

Thanks for the replies.

Hey Fellas,

Ballast question for you and a little update on my ballast fun. Put the fuses in the box and connected the wires and hit the lake today. Once we got out there, I hit the switch on the center bag, and nothing. Got under the back seat to see what was up, and pump was on but no water. Unhooked the hose from the sprinkler valve, and no water. I then took off the strainer, poured the water out, and hooked it up again. Flicked the switch, and water came pouring out. All 3 bags filled and had a great surf.

My question - is that an air lock? and why would emptying the strainer make everything work like gold?

Thanks for your expertise.
