So, I'm interested to hear what people have done for sub boxes in their XLV. what size sub(s) were you able to fit? How much airspace? Did you have to modify anything?

This is mine. a pair of Infinity Reference 10's. Giving a 2-ohm load to the amp.

They do pretty good for the money, but always interested in what others have done...

Dunno. We'll see. If I do anything it would be stepping up to some of the L7 Solo Baric's. I have a buddy with a pair of the 12's and they just POUND. one of his is louder than both my Infinity 10's. that's to be expected, but still.

No rush, it'd definitely be a next season thing (if I even did it at all).

Just curious to see what others have done.

Cool thread. Ya know, the incremental difference I might get by going with different subs might not be enough to justify the cost in the near term. But it's still fun to think about for the long term.

thanks, FYI the eq is now a zld and the kicker amp was replaced with a 800.4 and a 1500.1 exile.

Trayson - you have tons of space in there. Time to step up to a 15" sub and 2500 watts on it. punt those tens. Your wife will love you for it! haha!

No really - you can pretty much put whatever you choose in that boat. the XLV has 3+cuft available.

JL 12" -not sure the model- in a custom built bandpass box. This thing is a beast.

Trayson, you are throwing out some real life problems here. To keep the 10's or it's not good enough. Thinking 15's. Ha!

Yep... I've got 1 JL W6v3 in the dog house and it hits hard. It will out do my Memphis BR12 in its custom ported box under the helm. I'm thinking of moving the JL under the helm and just not having a sub in with the batteries.
