No good pics of the fireworks, but we were front row of all the boats on the water. Cranking the music to the simulcast. A little drama when some of the fireworks ash got in my son's eye, but he ended up okay. Exhausting to be on the river for the fireworks, but by next year I'm sure I'll forget about all the negatives and do it again.

I do not know why I do this too myself but I went out on the local lake over the 4th. I am crazy, they are crazy, we are all crazy. After we were done surfing I lost all control of my boat crew. I do not know how it happened but it was bad.

We went to lake Greeson for the 4th, and on the second day to my surprise the one child that refuses to do anything on the water willingly insisted that she be the first to surf. Normally she goes into self protect mode and goes to sleep before I can get her out. Not this time

Spent the 4th at the Lake of the Ozarks. Thursday and Friday were completely washed out because of the flooding. The entire lake was a no wake zone until Saturday morning.

Saturday wasn't very good since every PWC that is at the lake was out on the water running around from early in the morning until dark. Sunday was a whole lot better. We were able to get my son a few runs on the surf board as well as a couple of early morning wakeboard sets.

In between sets, him & a group of younger boys were running next to our chairs on the beach trying to see who could skim the furthest into the water. He was giving the others a run for it when the guy sitting next to us complained to the group for kicking up sand on him.

We were thinking, your sitting on a beach at the waters edge... You might get a little sandy. The guy was a pissy old a$$ #%^*

I don't think he landed that one in the picture, but he does land them. Most of all our good riding happens when the camera is turned off and everyone is paying attention to the riding vs getting pictures, 6 years now with the boat and that has never changed.

Non surf side about 40-50%
And the perfect pass at 10.5 mph.

Can't wait to get back out this weekend. Much easier on the body than slalom skiing. ��.

Got to demo a LF Machine wakesurf over the 4th. Not a bad "off the shelf" board at all. I had fun with it. For only being 3" longer than my Ronix Parks Carbon Thruster I was surprised how much easier/better that it rode. Trying to air and show some fin, spinning a board not meant to be spun, old guy stuff...

Ian is that where you're from? I was thinking on trailering up to torch, higgins or charlevoix from Windsor on. I'm on lake st. Clair and it's pretty rough mostly.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

I'm originally from South East Michigan, but moved up here a few years ago.

We used to trailer 4 hours to Torch (wife has family cottage on the lake) like twice a month, now we are on the lake and love it.

If you have the ability, I'd HIGHLY recommend the trip! I love being on Torch - it's 18 miles long, but only a mile wide - you can usually find good water in the lake, and worst case head to the Clam River if the lake is blown out.

Torch is part of a chain of lakes, there are a few resturaunts / stores, something for everyone.

It's a really great time, if you do come this way hit me up!

Busy weekend!

Friday my buddies that are pilots for USCG wanted a boat for some swimmer trainings they were doing on our lake Friday morning - talk about a fun experience! We had 2 choppers, 2 swimmers, and pretty much everyone around wondering what the heck we were doing, lol!

I got to surf. Nothing too amazing on the picture, but my buddy that was with us does a lot of DJing and makes his own mashups and mixes and he took over the stereo while I surfed and I got to just tear it up to his mix and had one of the most enjoyable surf sessions to date. Truly just surfing to the music like I was out there dancing. Great times for sure.

Great question! I have no idea - I floating through a shallow channel and felt the prop graze something, but it was nothing crazy at all - prop was fine for 2 hours, then a shimmy, then violent shaking. I think I must have gotten a crack when we went through the channel, then the spinning after a few hours set the blade free. Weird for sure.

This was behind a Mastercraft X20. My son was doing a lesson with Kirby Liesmann. His XStar was down so he took us out on the X20. If the website is right the boat only has 2000 lb of ballast. In the wakeboard pic the ballast is about half full and the speed was 18 mph. Took Tyler a bit to get used to it he thought it was pretty steep. We ran behind our boat Saturday and my son put about 500 lbs in both rear bags and filled the front and we had a similar shaped wake. In the surf pic the ballast is full and just the surf tab down. Kirby surfed the regular side with just a change of the tab and the wake was just as good. Surf speed was 11mph.

I put 1100 lb bags in our LSV and I haven't been able to get a surf wake like that yet. I haven't spent too much time trying to dial it in either. We just get something that works and get out there and have fun. I try something a little different each time and see if it makes a difference.

To my knowledge, there isn't another spot to secure the straps. Unfortunately, it's part of the design with the tower. The dealer said the straps are only needed if it's really windy and we're going to be cruising on the lake. Boat is in the garage right now and my ceiling isn't tall enough for me to put the top up. Otherwise I'd check to see if the straps are removable or if I can tuck them in.

We had some pretty amazing moments. My wife got her longest surf sessions to date... 8 and 13 minutes respectively, and this is coming off a pulled hamstring a week earlier.

Looks like Sugarloaf in the background. Used to boat there years ago. Beautiful lake with many breathtaking views. Good thing about Sugarloaf is that you can always find smooth water on any side of the mountain no matter what the wind does. We always enjoyed GF. Hope to get back their one day.
