Our depth finder has started to blink intermittently. It happens when we are driving or sitting still. Sometimes it has blinked while sitting still, and has never found the bottom. The depth finder is a Lowrance 3500. I did some quick research, and I guess the transducer can fail. (I assume the transducer finds the bottom.) does the whole thing just need to be replaced? Just the transducer? Where does the transducer come thru the hull. All I know of is the speedometer pickups, and the water intake, but I assume the transducer for thru the hull, as well.
