View Full Version : Finally ditched the poles for my cover

I finally got around to installing the cover vents that I attached to the tower so I could finally get rid of those poles under the cover -- seems to work very well so far!! I got the vents and pulleys on ebay for about $25 and with some hardware came in considerably lower than the Hangtyte that they want $50-60 for.

Very easy install -- attach the eye bolts to the vents, cut two small holes in the cover and screw in the vents, hang from the tower and done!! Went so quick still had half my beer left when the install was finished... :)

Did you drill the holes for the eye bolts? I think I found the vents on eBay, but they don't look to have through holes.

Yes I drilled the holes myself so the bolts would fit snuggly so as not to allow any water thru. Here's the one I got:

Those were the ones I found. What about the pulleys?

It looks like the ones I bought are no longer available, but these look pretty close to the same thing and should work for you:
